Have you ever tried loop community's Prime or Prime for Mac? It's way simpler than Ableton but can still jump sections in time and free to use.

i've got a question! how do you jump to certain sections of the song halfway through the set? do you just hit the location marker one bar before the current section ends?

Ya i've seen it but I'm already comfortable using Ableton in this fashion so I haven't switched. But ya, Prime is great!

Daniel, this is great! Are you able to do a more in depth video of the nuts and bolts of how you manage this while playing? ie are you using a pad or is the keyboard playing do this? Are you running other percussions instruments as your backing tracks. I’m not looking for a “how to” of Ableton but rather how to apply this. Thanks!

So does the worship leader throws up the sign for chorus or vamp and then someone hits that part of the song on abbleton for all the musicians to transition

How to make the track repeat the chorus part if we want to repeat the chorus on the fly?

In the top right corner of ableton there's a button that says "key". Click that and everything that's mappable will turn orange. Then you can go through and assign markers to keys like click on the "chorus" marker and then hit "C" and it'll map the letter C to that section of the song.

How do you set up your midi controller for on the fly controlling. That component is different for everyone. Thanks

You just connect the desired midi controller and then map the different buttons to the desired markers in the song. I usually just use my computer keyboard though.

Ableton looks pretty daunting when you open it up because there is a lot of options, but it's pretty easy to run. No the congregation won't hear the click and guide if you route it to the board, turn it off in the house, and just have it on in your in ears. I've got several videos tagged at the end of this video that go more in to depth on Ableton.

We multitrack so I'm able to mix each channel individually. I just don't use the click channel.

You wouldn't be able to do that because you're jumping back to the measure the chorus starts, not the measure before where the guide is calling out the chorus.
