The scope I am using is 4-20x50mm FFP Miliradian
Testing the Tract Optics Toric Ultra HD 30mm scope on a trip to the desert. This is a Miliradian scope with both mil reticle and turrets. It is illuminated and First Focal Plane FFP it features German Schott glass with high density glass for better clarity. Multi coated lenses for reduced chromatic aberration. It has a fantastic mechanical zero stop with excellent feeling clicks in the turret that are audible and tactile.
I have steel set at multiple distances to transition back and forth from each range to test mechanical reliability and tracking repeatability as well as return to zero. The scope is very high quality and has a beautiful finish.

I haven't heard you mention a dope correction for angles ...at the end of video that 500 yd target looked quite a bit higher the 300

Chris Strange lol what does this even matter to you? 😂 you put the angle in the ballistic calc and it solves for it. Same for the 300.

@@rileybaxter5421 not everyone knows that the angle between you and your target can make a difference on your impact ....I'm well aware if you put that info in the calculation you will get the corrected dope but if don't you can easily miss your target

Why does the thumb nail show the bolt forward but round not in chamber?

There’s a lip on the receiver that I can set a round on. Bolt is closed and the round is sitting outside the action

Just bought one a week ago and it is awesome glass which tracks spot-on. Would anyone know what size Butler Creek caps fit the ocular and the objective?

My Toric is in the mail and I bought their Mount/Rings/Covers, but the closest is a 40 Objective and a 20 Eyepiece, but they are off a bit (2.28 & 1.73 - 40 is 2.25 & 20 is 1.775.) They might not fit, not sure.

Just dialing up an down from zero stop to 3 mills is not a good indicator of the scopes tracking an precision. Set up a tracking target, shoot that at 10 mils, an show us the results. You guys at West Desert Shooters know better. This is just boys having fun, doesn't tell anyone how the scope truly tracks.

This model is their flagship so it is also their most expensive. Compared to others with the same features and quality it’s priced competitively.

At 10:03 in the video, I ranged the target at 614yds with your reticle. I paused it at exactly 10:03 where you had the stadia lined up well with the tall target. 31x27.77=860/1.4mils=614yds. Reticle subtensions might not be 100% accurate or it could be youtube voodoo but you're over 550yds. there. Killer video, I like when you get these type of shots of the reticles.

You should ride your shooting thumb on the lower.. just to test this theory.. put your hand in the normal handgun shooting position and pretend you're pulling a trigger.. see what happens to your thumb
