Thank you so much for the video, one of the plastic washers came off with the cap but the other one didn’t and I wouldn’t have caught that! Nice of you to do this!

Great video: thanks. I had just installed the same hydraulic piston you did and did not realize the plastic washers'o-rings needed to be removed before installing the fittings: great tip from you. Went back and sure enough, the fittings were loose: removed the plastic washers and installed fittings the right way. Thanks again for the tip.

Nice instructive video Tony. How about taking the top link and reversing it 180 degrees. This would put your hose connections to the cylinder out towards your implement. Of course just loosen the fittings and move the hoses to run towards the tractor along the length of the top of the cyclinder. This would use more hose which you have plenty of and maybe make one less wrap of extra hose and keep them away from binding against anything. Just my thought and observation. You're lucky with the heat. I'm looking out the window of my house this morning and it's 10 degrees out with about a foot of snow or "white mud" as I call it. But the MT125 makes short work of it. Thanks again for taking your time to set up the camera and film another interesting project. Best regards sir.

I just watched a video of a guy using a winch to drag out his tractor from the hold of mud and muck. But you'll get your chance to move some white mud sooner or later. Enjoy the rain. I wish it was raining here as it wouldn't be so darn cold then. :-)

Tony and others. I'm a newbie tractor compact tractor owner, so forgive my questions. The question I have is, whenever you add a new hydraulic implement, like this hydraulic top link, 1) Where do you add the quick disconnects where the other end of the hose connects to? Also, do you have to add levers to manipulate the hydraulic attachment (i.e. top link, etc..) each time you add a hydraulic attachment? Thank you for your time. Thanks for the video, Tony! VR, David D.
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
Not all tractors come with rear remotes. Rear remotes are a secondary set of hydraulic circuits with a valve to control them from the seat. Most tractor manufacturers have a kit that you can add if your tractor doesn't already have rear remotes.

The Summit kit for the John Deere 1025 R will work with a bit of modification. You will hook it in between the loader and the rear 3 point hitch pressure line. I don't know your tractor, but all hydraulics work the same.

@TonysTractorAdventure3 жыл бұрын

@jameskeough46203 жыл бұрын
Here are a couple of other things to "consider": 1) Unless you're in the landscaping business or the like and can justify the expense, and unless you already have a valve and connections free on your tractor, you are going to spend upwards of $600 for an install if you do it yourself. 2) Unless you have a hydraulic shop nearby (I actually got everything made up at my local Carquest Auto parts), you're in for a world of hurt trying to find hoses, connections, cylinder, valve, etc. TSC was no help and didn't have all the parts on hand and the local Massey Ferguson dealer could only provide specific parts and only by ordering them. Bottom line, yeah, if you're a landscaper or contractor then go for it. If all you're doing is grading a 50' driveway, the cost and headaches don't justify the install IMO.
@TonysTractorAdventure3 жыл бұрын
I think you may have misunderstood the cost. A hydraulic top link cost is in the range of $200. Most tractors this size come standard with rear remotes. I don't follow your logic. If a person is going to spend $15-20k plus on a tractor, then even $600 does seem a stretch. It is one of the best additional items for tractor owners.
