Placing fabric under there is the key to success and long durable roads.

I disagree as there are a lot of drawbacks to fabric. Especially for future grading and upkeep. Once that fabric starts coming up and you snag it with a tractor blade or something, it is all a downhill nightmare from there. Not saying it does not work, but you do have to add a LOT of stone over top to avoid what I just described. In a perfect, and more expensive world, yes I could see using fabric, but if you get down to hard pan clay you'll be ok unless it's a heavy traffic drive. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

@@KapperOutdoors2.0 No doubt, you still need to have enough stone 🤣. All of my farm equipment lanes get built right on grade using fabric and hold up forever even with heavy equipment during poor weather.

Yes, sir. I believe you and I don't doubt it, but when you're skimping on the budget, l o l that's when you run into trouble with only four or five inches of stone.

@@kapperoutdoors hey Kapp, happy to take this off line, highly recommend HNB bank Missouri, refinance, talk with Jeff Albus, ask about the Farmer Mac loan programs, he is absolutely fantastic and knows his stuff, we just did a refinance in Missouri on our farm last month, 5.7 percent.
