Love the pre stories. Family is always first. I had to step out of going into basic training to come home to the farm. That was in 2000. My dad's health went south. I made a choice. We all know what happened after that. Im still here on the farm. With my beautiful wife and 4 kids.

Another great video reminds me of me and my dad back 35 years ago I couldn't get a job had a daughter to raise . My dad had 180 acres sitting around have woods I got a chainsaw started logging and raising produce, field corn and beats. Deer feed and humans. My dad did the tractor work I did the rest. Made him feel useful again in his last years. May God bless you and your family over the holidays 🙏 in Jesus name Amen 🙏

The number of SS/PS entries at any given pull in the 90s and early 2000s throughout Maryland was awesome. Today you might get lucky to have 5 or 6. I remember watching tractors until almost midnight at the Frederick Fair many years.
@so.md.dirtfarmer22263 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's a shame the numbers have dwindled down so far.

On of the reasons I enjoy your videos is your humble attitude. You make things look so easy. Living in central Wisconsin I've gone to the Tomah pulls for about 40yrs. I enjoyed them more years back more than today. But being a pulling junky I need my fix. Thanks so much for the old pull videos.

G’Morn’n Bill, I sure do love these trips down memory lane! Your reasons were worthwhile. My dad had a stroke at 82 and although you couldn’t see any physical effects, things began to spiral downward fairly quickly. He’s 89 now, but he hasn’t been able to participate in any of the daily operations of the farm for a couple of years now. Two years almost to the day, we moved into our new home here just next door to the family farm. I spent a lot of years being fairly scarce around, aside from making hay which is one of my favorite pastimes. We felt the Holy Spirit moving us to sell our previous home and did so without even an inkling of where we were going. Now it is quite evident why. In my youth I wanted to be a mechanic, heavy eq. operator and a farmer. I’ve had the first two checked off my list for a long time. I honestly felt that I would never be in this position. God has given me this opportunity to serve my parents in this fashion, although I have no idea how long it will hold out. One day at a time, sweet JESUS, That’s all I’m asking of you. Thank you Bill, for sharing your passions, your life. Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

Hey Tedd! My boys said if you'd gone strait to farmer, you would have been a mechanic and heavy equip. operator! 😆 It's wonderful what you're doing, you'll never regret it, it's a blessing to all involved. Thanks for taking time to share this. Bill

Wow it is great that you and your dad were able to pull together. I always heard that pulling is a family sport, i believe it. I bet your dad is watching over you and has a huge smile on his face. Your son must be great men and great mechanics just like you. I always enjoy all your videos.

Could you share more information on Buck Shot. Just front to back modifications you made and why. Is it stroked, gearing just that type of stuff. Your story is very interesting.

I live in Ohio close to some prostock tractors that have been pulling for a long time. One is the Rampage and another is Soup Line express. Do you remember these.
