Agree. They've got a cool job, I guess, but it's basically most grumpy ol' men driving their trucks to shit, while this happy camper drives around all over the states. She might not earn as much as the ice road truckers do, but it's way more interesting to watch her, rather then the grumpy ol' men.

Spot on. When I was driving (almost 20 yrs ago) I was transitioning to vegan. Denny's was my "goto" place because I knew they would have a "Gardenburger" or a "Bocaburger" . . . . . I've no idea, but hopefully things have change (a little bit?) since 2000, 2001, for restauranteurs and their vegetarian/vegan awareness.

My driving career began with Bob trucks in 1976, graduating to big rigs by 1980, when power windows, air conditioning, and sometimes even power steering were considered a luxury. I've driven nearly every make of truck in my career and have this recommendation for when you purchase a truck. Buy a Peterbilt. IMO best ride, best dash and switch cofiguration, and quiet. They usually cost a little more new, but worth it. Ask around. I believe you will find most drivers will agree. Great channel and I wish safe and happy travels to you in your driving adventures.

The reality of owning your own truck and running your own authority ... it can be great, hard and horrible all in the same day, but what a day with lights and chrome. With that being said I have owned a w900 for almost 12 years not bad for a 36 year old. But I get smiles per gallon. And I do mean smiles per gallon because it sure doesn’t get the mileage that some of these other trucks get. If I knew then what I know now I would have probably still have bought it but the money I would have saved in fuel would have been huge. Best of luck!!! Hope to see you in a w900 of you own one day. Safe travels.
