Looks like it’s going to be a handy little shed, and that gravel should help with the mud. Thanks for sharing your home. Be well my friends.

Everyone needs a nice tractor shed. I know I do. That tarp was a good idea.

That's for sure a shed is a must have that tarp worked great.

I built mine using 4x4 posts because of money shortage. Working weekends only, I was able to get the frame up and then it rained every weekend for over three months and two of those 4x4s warped pretty bad. I should have used 6X6 posts.

I've had no issues so far thanks for sharing James.

It looks great kevin, that should keep you drier, it will sure free up space in the work shop, and you can drive them right out to plow the snow. It should be a fairly cheap build, with donated steel, and you got a great deal on those tuba sixes, the place looks great, keep em coming.

I definitely need to free up space lots of work to do.

Mission done Kevin looks great. Them machines save alot of hand work at our ages. Just a suggestion maybe is to beef up afew center Rafters for snow load. Know all about the Pa. North Easterns coming through.

Machines do keep me working I will be working on a beam in the middle.

Nice design. I'm building similar but using a recessed back fence with steel columns way into the ground with cement for less bracing and racking. Thinking of just open design where any walls or enclosures won't be structural.

Sound like it will be a great shed, hope everything goes good for you, thanks for watching.

Hey buddy. Found you on youtube while searching for a tractor pole barn shed. Getting my first tractor this week and want to park it somewhere other than the workshop due to space constraints. Ill follow your channel you are giving me good ideas for my homestead.

Good afternoon sir, did you have to cement the posts?
@Robinson-Homestead Жыл бұрын
I think I did but you really don't have to just Tamp them really well.

Makes me want to build one of these for my toys... good idea. Any permitting or tax concern, or because there is no foundation/slab, it's a non-issue? I am in Northeastern PA so I understand it could be different up here.

No permit for this one agricultural building.

The other thing that tarp will do is stop water from draining properly. 🤦♂️ You have to use a porous landscaping cloth, or better, some larger rock as a base.
@Robinson-Homestead Жыл бұрын
I have to say that was a mistake putting it in there because it has poor drainage, what can i say besides live and learn( sometimes the hard way). thanks for watching.
