I prefer to do business with Agri Supply or Rural King. Those companies' policies and philosophy are more in keeping with my values than Tractor Supply's are. Agri Supply is a huge facility that has everything that a homesteader or small-scale farmer could ever need. I find that Agri Supply's prices tend to be effectively the same as Tractor Supply's. Agri Supply isn't a huge chain like TSC is, so I count myself lucky to be near one. Take care and God Bless.

Up until a few weeks ago, TSC was our go to place for nearly all things farming. I then learned of an event they were involved in down in Waco, TX. This was their second year of being involved in that event. Videos of the event are on the internet. I saw the videos and decided to end my relationship with TSC. I personally will not knowingly support a company that supports men that are dressed like women performing sexually provocative dances in front of little children. No judgment on others for shopping there, but I ain't doing it!

My husband tried the same concept with lumber from Home Depot. Only problem is the company changing the product number on the item to get around price matching the same item from another store in a different location. We bought 2 x 4 x 8 stud length lumber from a Home Depot near Richmond, VA ($2.34) vs a higher price in Lynchburg, VA ($3.99). Made two trips and bought a trailer load of lumber each time - price difference easily paid for the gas going a longer distance from home.

The Tractor Supply store was 90 dollars on 24% cattle tubs. The local feed store 20 minuites away was 75 dollars. A different brand but still 24%.

Recently I found plenty of items that were 25% + overpriced so I’m only using them for emergencies. The biggest one was a brake kit for my trailer. One wheel at TS for brakes and drum was $300 I got the same brand same product on Amazon for $400 for all four delivered to my front door. It was ridiculous. We don’t shop there any more.

The new manager at ours said he just wouldn't sell to us for a $10 difference. He was dismissive and didn't really care. We walked out and then returned with $180 worth of dog food we bought the we week before. I asked him to show me where the price match guarantee excluded other tractor supplies. Now I'm waiting for his boss to call me. We are a small town and the I know most of the employees in there. They said him and his wife swapped stores. She got the larger one in a worse area. So that explained his dismissive attitude because they were the only farm store in that area.

Straighten out the "C" in TSC brand name and it'll fit better. I was looking to buy my feed local well before the drama erupted. I get a lot of people are fuming and feel betrayed. Personally I'm not surprised. TSC is a large business and they are trying to appeal to every kind of customer. Besides the idea they they're a bastion of Americana is just misguided. The product is primarily hecho en China imported goods. It's just a veneer over top of the same rotten business model as every other faceless corporation. As always though good content and I'm not a cancel culture cult member so I'm not going to abandon your channel because you shop at TSC. Looking forward to the next video!

Really? Ours doesn’t sell baby anything inside. Locals sell all kinds of unwanted livestock on Saturdays only till 12. I think it helps there business. Always packed on Saturdays.

Here in Ocala Florida we have a rural king and the prices are pretty affordable, but I wasn’t aware that tractor supply has a price match policy since I really never shop there. However, thanks for letting us know going forward I’ll definitely keep that in mind.

Thanks for the tip. Talking about shavings in my area they went to two dollars a bag in one year a bit of a price gouging I believe. I stay local farm shops as much as possible sometimes pay a little bit more but I support local businesses in the same way I appreciate the support we get with our farm products. Another savings we get here in South Carolina we have what is called scate card This allows us to pay no sales tax on anything related to farm business. Also George has one called gate card this their farm tax exempt.

That’s a good price hack that we’ve used for years but be aware to do your homework before you go. Not speaking for where anyone else lives but both of the local TSCs near us have some type of disrupter that inhibits cellphone signals within 50 feet of them. The employees, themselves, are aware of this and have told me that I “may need to go out to the parking lot” to get a signal while I’ve been at the register to pay.
