I remember in the fall of 2004 driving from St.Paul Mn to Mountain Lake Mn via 169 and seeing three 1468’s along the way.

Sweet, my friends have one, they used it for mold board plowing and chopping silage, that was the only time we got to hear it,but you could hear it 2 miles away when it started to work .

Better check you comments about the DV-550 coming from Truck Division. IH's Payline division used the DV-550 extensively in the 1960's. When the fuel crunch hit in 1978 IH got the DV-550 off the shelf and called in the 9.0 liter, which of course competed head on with the 8.2 liter from GM....... Oh if I only had one of those now!

Very rare tractors , leave them in the corner and polish them , if you start it it might blow up , we had two 9.0s rebuilt on pallets for school busses, pull or out , put one in , until somebody got wise and we started converting them to 360s out of older ,low mi busses.

Reall, thats a shame, and with the 1568 there were only a little over 800 made so id say there pretty rare.

It was trash, we had one. My dad regretted the hell out of buying one. 56, 66 and 86 were better tractors. We still have it, put a 436 motor on it and runs like a champ.
