I enjoy watching many tractor, trailer, Tie down videos but this one is well thought out and has given us some clever ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking for different ways to chain down my tractor as well. Especially the rear of the tractor. I have an L2501.

Some good tips, mainly I like seeing the tractor secured. Many in my area just lay some straps across the tractor and call it good, hopefully they never get hit or hit their brakes. I have the same binders that you have and really like them, but I use different points to connect.

A dlink in the draw bar works good for the back too.

Man, I really like where you went with the loader attachment points...I missed that option altogether. My method works (someone hit and totalled my trailer...tractor OK 👍. Yeah, there's a video! 😉) but I still think I may go with your method! Thanks for the great tip.

I use 10,000# ratchet straps for now but I’m constantly looking for good places to use chains! The chains on the loader bracket and adding hooks to the front is a good quick idea….the back set up imo just takes too long and too many steps! I’d like to be able to tie my tractor down in less than 10 minutes from loading to unloading! Thanks for the ideas tho!

A lot of extra time to prevent paint scratches on the worst painted tractors ever made. Kubota paint fades to 12 different colors of orange, red, pink 3 days after leaving dealership. No need to try to keep it lookin ‘pretty.

I own a land clearing company, and I have owned just about every brand of equipment known to man kind. And the Kubota brand is in the top two of best and most reliable products, warranty, financing, reliability, and price. Ann we really don’t give a darn about paint, scratches, or appearance. It’s needs to run hard, do the job efficiently. And make me some money. let’s Go !!!

Wow Dave, Excellent tips on LX2610 tiedown points. Thank you for sharing. Awesome job. Did you need to drill anything out to match the HFT Tow Hooks to match the LX frame? I love that idea. I'm going to borrow it from you I f my LX2610 ever arrives. 😆 Where did you find the oblong grade 70 rings? I could not find a source. Thanks, Dan
@sweatequitylife
@sweatequitylife 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Daniel! I did not need to drill anything out for the HFT hooks. I just upgraded to Gr 8 bolts. The alignment of the holes are not perfect, but you can get the bolts through. I find that I don't use this option much because of where my stake pockets are and the loader interferes with the angle. For oblong rings go to boltonhooks.com and you can find them in the chaining and rigging accessories. Again, appreciate you watching!

I really don't think I would pay much attention to the way this tractor is boomed down wow that will probably hold the tractor on the trailer I don't think it would ever pass any kind of inspection on the road if a State Trooper pulled him over

I put a ball hitch on my drawbar and secure it on both side’s of trailer then boom it down. On front i put it through the front gard and do the same thing.

Sweet! Did your trailer wood come treated like that or did you treat it? With what? I have a new trailer I'm considering different methods, yours looks nice!
@sweatequitylife
@sweatequitylife Жыл бұрын
Thanks....Trailer came with bare treated wood. I used Behr semi-transparent waterproofing stain & sealer from Home Depot. The color is called Slate and if I remember correctly, I had them add more black dye to it. 2 coats and still looks good 2 years later.

Sealing and waterproofing, treated wood is a waste of time and money. If you want to stain the wood, do that.

Absolutely Sir. FOUR Tie-down points for the Tractor Alone. ONE for the loader, One for an attached 3point implement. ONE for the backhoe assembly (if applicable). And One for Each & EVERY other implement loaded on the trailer. Even though in 95% of catastrophic incidents the proceeding instructional vidio would of been adequate-- it would Of NEVER Passed ANY DOT Inspection.

@@donaldstrishock3923 thanks for watching and commenting. You are absolutely correct with your reply. Please don’t take this video as a comprehensive instructional tractor tie down video. The point of this video was to highlight the 2 front tie down options.

Great video. How big is the trailer? How many pound axels? Any troubles pulling it with a half ton?
@sweatequitylife
@sweatequitylife 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! It is an 18ft BriMar Trailer rated for 9,990 lbs. I don't have any issues pulling with the half ton truck. I believe that getting the tongue weight right is key and can hardly notice the trailer when tongue weight is good. With the LX and backhoe, I would say that I am at roughly 6,500 lbs gross weight and truck's tow rating is roughly 9,900 lbs.

What diameter size hose did you get to cut & use?
@sweatequitylife
@sweatequitylife 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gary, I honestly can't remember off the top of my head and am away from home for a few days and can't measure. If you are thinking of using hose, I would measure your chain links and get hose with a diameter bigger than the links. I ended up cutting the hose length wise so I don't have to take hooks off to slide hose over chain. I looked for hose with the thickest, strongest side walls. If you still need me to measure the diameter, let me know. Appreciate you watching.

It's better not to have a cover so you can see when the whole trailer is ready for tires. I have and always will remove tire covers. Hell, my 10k horse trailer didn't come with a cover on the spare. Because it's not needed.
