Great and all that the 390t is, would the 399 not be better with a 6 cylinder and higher hp?

Yes we do have a 399, but I just prefer the 390T it’s pocket rocket 👍😁

i got the 390T 12/12 shuttle M reg ........i think your right one of the best tractors massey ever made.......i'm going to correct you it was a 4255 that replaced 390T. we had the later model again a 2004 massey 4355.........what ever you do never swap your 390T for a 4355 ......it was gutless .....no power at all. i think it was to do with the exhaust emissions regulations that came in force around then........a horrible thing to drive on the road soon as you came to a hill it just died on you. also we had trouble in the end with the front coupling on the 4wd shaft.......a crap design in my opinion not like the 390T that had a UJ at each that you could grease and it lasts for ever. the 4355 had a straight shaft with a collar at the front end where goes into front axle held in place with a split pin......fine when it's new but as the hours clock up the shaft and collar would ware then it kept snapping the split pin off then when that happened the collar would slide back over the the 4wd shaft and you would suddenly be without your 4wd.......it was a safety issue for us as we've got a lot of steep fields here on our farm in Devon.......sold the tractor last year .........can't say i miss the thing

Hi Gerald! Thanks for correcting me! Yes I believe the 4255 replaced the 390T and then the 4355 replaced the 4255😁 although am I right in thinking the 4255 and 4355 had more horsepower around the 95- 100hp mark where as the 390T was only 90hp?🤔 my neighbour had 4355 and thought the world of it as it was their main tractor for 10 year although it was as 2002 model just before they stopped making them at banner lane so maybe they went downhill quality wise when they moved production of them to France?🤔 but I’d definitely never sell our 390T it’s just the best and can’t really fault it, apart from a few minor repairs it’s done over 7000 hours now and it’s still going strong I really think it’ll last forever! They definitely don’t make them like this anymore!

@@farmerwillmellor510 yes our 4355 was made in france........i just think it was the exhaust emissions thing that spoilt them around then . our contractor runs mainly New Hollands and i remember them having a 2005 TM120 and you could here that one die every time there was hill to go up just with a round baler on where as they use to run the old 7840's and even though they were a bit less hp they had more grunt
