I have noticed that these type of accidents always happen in the wee hours of the morning when there's very little traffic. I believe these truck drivers from out of town enter the FDR Drive from the Triborough/RFK bridge. There are plenty of signs they are saying no trucks and no commercial traffic. Even the sacrificial crash beam that this driver hit is clearly marked 11'5". This is one of the few drivers that actually was going so fast that he was able to blast all the way through the crash beam. Most of them get hung up halfway through.

The FDR Drive has dozens of signs which state that trucks are banned. I seriously don’t know how he missed them.

What is New York's version that the driver got storrowed (Boston)?
@Leonard_Wilson2 жыл бұрын
Basically. This also happens on the Hutchinson Parkway and occasionally the Southern State.

I’m just surprised it does not say Swift on the outside of the trailer. Great coverage at the seen. Thank you for sharing.
