Those are probably my favorite style of Massey Ferguson ever built.. I like the grills. Simple, but makes a bolt statement.

Those 65's have a serious set of stones for what they are. I worked on a gasser many moons ago & thought it had some pep to it when it was done & I took it out for a spin. Can only imagine how nice that diesel is. Even with all the hours, I bet there's still a perky Perkins under that hood. Regards!

I used to run my neighbor’s MF65 as a kid. For what they are, they are a very powerful little tractor. That Perkins Diesel doesn’t mess around! And the TA was awesome too, although maybe that one doesn’t have it. Thanks for sharing. Boom! 💥

My dad was a big MF person when I grew up. New 65 gas, 2 late 135's, 2 late 165's, he didn't like 65 as much because of turning ability. All of them were bullet proof.

That's a row crop Fan. You can tell by the high front axle and the 38" rears. 52 HP handled 3-14" well but that multi power transmission was a death trap if you didn't know how it worked. And yes, brake seals were a problem but you can lock the pedals together to get both wheel braking. tremendous power take off tractor.

When we retired our John Deere A's we bought an MF 65 diesel. Best tractor next to our JD's. What I liked about the Massey was the live pto Push the clutch half way and the tractor stopped but pto kept going but I agree on the brakes. To much travel in the linkage.

MF 65 was/is a great tractor. Reliable, easy starting and fuel efficient Perkins diesel. We have 2 MF 50 diesels, one with front loader driven off a front/crank mounted pump independent of the rear hydraulics. Both are power steering. Great tractors...👍

They are great tractors. I own a 1959 M-F 50 gasoline that I bought used in 1997, & it was the 1st tractor anyone in my family has ever owned. The best thing I did was install a electronic ignition; I use it for skidding logs; I put a external remote switch on to run a 25 ton log splitter, & I use her for grading our road sometimes. I talked my older brother into buying a new M-F 2317 EB in 2021, & I bought another one new in 2018 a M-F 1526 with a fel while both are great tractors, & very reliable; They don't have the character of the 1959 M-F 50; The styling of these tractor are sort of art deco IMHO. The M-F 50 will always be a keeper; As well as the M-F 1526. M-F Tractors= Mighty-Fine tractors.

My dad had a MF50 gasser in the 70s. It had 12 forward gears and as the guy spreading lime in his lime truck on our farm said after I pulled him out of a wet spot on dads farm after I got home from school one day, " that is the pullinest tractor I ever saw". 1st low low gear with the tractor running wide open was about 1/2mph. Dad wouldn't ever let us drive it in 12 high high gear because it was so fast he thought we might have a wreck and get hurt or killed. And yeah it was super comfortable to operate.
