Juicy Cold Start BOEING STEARMAN AIRCRAFT Engines and Loud Sound 2

I flew a Stearman for two seasons back in about 1970, spraying cotton in central Alabama. Airplane had a Franklin 225hp tank engine (literally!) and was started exactly in this manner. Haven't heard the whine and grunt of those inertial starters in many, many years. Still a lovely, exciting, sweet -- magical almost -- sound to my ears .... thank you. Sooo many 'adventures' in that beautiful, hard-working old bird. Just sooo wish i could go back for a few days .... retired with at least 16k many years ago. Wonderful days gone now. But, thanks for the 'visit'... and the memories... appreciated.

One of these based at the Lincoln, Nebraska airport flew fairly often in Summer 2022. Beautiful sight. Beautiful sound.
