Using a compact tractor is a great way to remove concrete patios and side walks! Watch as our JD 1025R tackles a patio and sidewalk all in one evening. The Heavy Hitch rear ballast is a must to lift the slabs into the dumpster. The JD 1025R is a work horse!

You were talking about keeping loads from bouncing. Some people may not understand that if it bounces too much with a load, it could damage the hydraulic pump/system in these "baby" tractors. You did grsat, Tim. Although, I would have been afraid to have used my gc1710 for this, but it still would have worked. Just gotta be careful. Thats the main thing. Trying to rush anything, without first thinking things out can prove disasterous. Great Job.

I like the heavy hitch and all the quick attach front accessories. But that sledgehammer technique.... you need to take some tips from the neighbor guy. Start swing with hand near the head and slide down as you swing. Love your videos. Keep making em

Tim, I love the videos. But hey. I have a friendly suggestion. I’ve watched a few videos that you’re swinging a sledge near VERY EXPENSIVE GLASS!!!!! A sheet or 2 of subfloor from Home Depot or where ever you choose is a lot cheaper than one of those lanes of glass. I do speak from experience. Just trying to help. Again, love the videos.

Hi Tim, Next time you are trying to save some of the concrete squares, instead of one big hit with the sledge hammer, give the concretes about 4 smaller hits just to the non-saved side of the relief joint. Space the blows evenly along the joint and you will have much better results.

dude, john deere better be showing you some love, that's all I can say. one day youll look back on this video and be like "man I did that the hard way" lol. I almost commented "tilt the forks down and drive into it while tilting" but you figured it out. next time, stick the forks in about half way, pick up as hard as it will go then start tilting down as you drive into it. once you have it in the air, throw a round or jagged piece of small concrete under the slab and drop it on it. if it don't break use the tip o the forks to put weight on it. kickin job and I was serious about john deere showing love. they should at least service and repair that thing for free cuz you work that lil tractor. I would imagine you sell some units for them. I know I would have been more apt to swing the extra couple grand when I bought my tractor if I had watched your videos prior to making my purchase.

@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim 7 жыл бұрын
That is the way Deere makes them. The loader is made in different place than the backhoe. So, the backhoe still uses chrome rams. The black ones are supposed to be better :-) You know how that goes...sort of like plastic vs. steel hood :-)

Tractor Time with Tim it would not do me any good because I don't even need the backhoe to stabilize my tractor with all it will pick up because it don't have the hydraulic power that yours does. I don't know why. And John Deere don't know why it don't have the power because it passes all their tests now but it don't have the power it had when I got it. When I got it I dug sidewalks with it just like you did in this video. Now I can't even pick up the same sidewalks I dug out of the ground. And I also can't dig a small stump with the backhoe. Do you have any suggestions.

Every time I watch this channel, it seems like the theme is "how much can we overload this poor little JD tractor?". I'm certain that you've turned up the hydro pressure, since you've got 1200lbs+ of ballast on the rear, and that is what limited your loader capacity.

Around my area they charge $80-$110 an hour for Mini excavator jobs. Backhoes I believe run around $75/ Hr and most people have either a 2 or 4 hour Minimum charge to cover gas and travel time depending on distance. In this situation I guess it depends on just how good of a friend is he? Haha Personally in these situations ive always just told them to cover my gas and normally they end up giving me a $100 or something. I hate working for friends..
