I don't think major labels knew what to do with their rock acts back in the 90s. Instead of using the money for development of the artists and tour support they would throw a bunch of cash into a video or two to see if they could win themselves another Nevermind album. But yeah, great voice on her!

Burdens is such a kick ass record. An iconic record marking a post-grunge, "indie" period that finally started recognizing strong women in rock. Mad respect to Bonham, but I can't help but wonder if she had continued with this band what they might have made together. Blink the Brightest is excellent, but it doesn't capture that raw chord that so many of us X-ers identified with in Burdens. I know she had legitimate label issues that turned her off to the "production machine". Still, Burdens is a curiosity to me, it clearly was not a "one hit wonder" scenario as the record is amazing from start to finish. Perhaps she was just done with that genre, and I respect that, she is doing great things as a music educator, but I can hope, and would LOVE to hear more of that raw Tracy because she absolutely RULED.

Thought of this childhood staple brainstorming songs about sharks besides godforsaken Baby Shark or the Jaws theme. I always remembered & liked this song. Seeing the album cover was a total flashback. My mom played it a ton; I’ve played THIS song as many times today as my whole childhood! But always remember it when the actual fact of sharks having to move & not sleep comes up. Will have to listen to the whole album soon; can’t remember the other songs, but I’m sure something will ring a bell.

I don't miss the nineties, but this is good stuff. Even for an old '60s boy, lol. Yeah the '60s, I might miss those. By the time the nineties came we were trying not to disappear into parenthood.
