"That Eric Clapton, he's pretty good." History lesson lads: Elvis was the King, Bruce is the Boss, but back in the day they just called Eric Clapton God. Great reaction.
@ziggymarlowe56544 жыл бұрын
Eric Clapton is a legend. "Clapton is god" was sprayed painted on walls all over London in the mid 1960s. This is during the time he was playing with John Mayall's Blues Breakers. Mayall was no slouch in the blues department. I suspect Tracy felt honored to be playing her song with Clapton; and, no doubt Clapton recognized and respected Tracy's talent. He didn't jam with just anyone.

Yeah, I got the impression, that smile on Tracy's face says it all, she's just got to be thinking... 'I'm actually duetting with Eric Clapton!!!'

This is one of the most recognizable songs of that decade. When it came on in a bar or party, it just sort of kicked up the vibe.

Hi Bros, another great pick. Eric Clapton is a legend in the rock & blues worlds, added Tracy's voice you could not do any better.

Eric Patrick Clapton, CBE (born 30 March 1945) is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and of Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time.[1] Clapton ranked second in Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time"[2] and fourth in Gibson's "Top 50 Guitarists of All Time".[3] He was also named number five in Time magazine's list of "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009.[4] I copied & pasted this from Wikipedia.

SInce you guys are getting into Tracy Chapman another great reaction would be her performance of her song "Mountains O'Things" live at Farm Aid. It is amazing.
@Uilleand4 жыл бұрын
Awesome, dudes. :) But...If Clapton's a legend, do yourself a favour and find some Stevie Ray Vaughan to react to. He performed with Clapton before dying in a helicopter crash, and Clapton said later ""Listening to Stevie on the night of his last performance here on Earth was almost more than I could stand and made me feel like there was nothing left to say. He had said it all." ....For sheer guitar badassery, I suggest Voodoo Child (A JImi Hendrix cover), Texas Flood, or Scuttle Buttin'...for vocals, try 'Change It." ....but the key is find a live performance video. He really was the greatest blues guitarist of all time.

If you think Eric Clapton's blues guitar work is great you should react to Stevie Ray Vaughan , Texas Flood, LIVE at El Macombo. There's a reason why it gets so many views. Also Eric Clapton said Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best guitar player !
@dianemccrea36054 жыл бұрын
@Sudhir Kakar That's true and I believe Clapton had a better voice. What I mean is Stevie had so much emotion along with his precision and Clean guitar licks. Never sloppy. Didn't make any mistakes and if he ever did. It sure didn't show. Along with the fact that when he played each song . It never sounded the same twice.
@dianemccrea36054 жыл бұрын
@Sudhir Kakar The Allman's were 👍
@dianemccrea36054 жыл бұрын
@Sudhir Kakar I just got through listening to Allman and Clapton's 1970 jam session. Thanks for that. It Certainly Does hold up over time. Great playing. I have to say though. After listening to it . Makes me appreciate Stevie Ray Vaughan all the more. I wonder, if he played with Allman instead of Clapton, or joined in at that session. What it would have sounded like. I'm guessing heaven.

Music: rythm, melody and harmony. Hip-hopers, rappers and crappy pop singers. Go back home, lock the doors. Don't come back until you can play 5 notes and sing "Mary has a little lamb". With no Autotune fake singing, neither studio fake tricks and tracks. What you hear is major league in music. You're still in primary school. And Billie Ellish won 5 Grammys? Music industry is a rip off.
