Tracy Lawrence is a good musician but new songs arent Dumbed down. They tell their story of the struggle with drugs or alcohol or whatever they dealt with.

When CMT first came out I saw his "Sticks and Stones" video, it was the summer of 1991. I absolutely loved it and was a big fan from that day on. I've seen him in concert 5 times. In 2000 I got to get up close and personal, it was at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, Ca, he was walking in and I asked him to whisper "Darlin" in my ear (loved it when he said it in Today's Lonely Fool) and got a photo of us. He was always very nice to the crowd and put on a great show and being quite easy on the eyes is a bonus! Still lovin' me some Tracy Lawrence!

I’m blown away by his voice every time I see one of these live videos. He sounds the same in concert as he does on the records! Some people are just born to sing, to portray human emotions, pull on the heartstrings, and take you away from reality with the stories they tell. Tracy Lawrence is certainly one of these people!

Excellent! He does a fine job representing true country music. Unfortunately any upcoming CMA Country Music Award show is a sad state of affairs these days. They really need to change the name of that sorry show to "America"s New Pop Wave Awards"...one look at the line-up will tell the whole story and is undeniable.

I love when a country music artist takes their gifted voice, vocals and transports you with them and the song to entirely different place. Tracy Lawrence & Paint Me A Birmingham does just that. I love this song Paint Me A Birmingham. It reminds me of the house on the edge of town that I lived in when I lived in Foreman, Arkansas back in the 90's.Tracy was having his concert's there back then. It was so much fun going to his concerts. I enjoyed it very much. I also got to meet him and have a picture taken with him. I remember what he said to me. He told me to take care of myself. I told him that I would. Or I might have said Okay. I am a huge fan of Tracy's. I miss you Tracy.

You were fortunate indeed. My cousin played pedal steel on the road for most of the top acts (Marty Robbins, Jimmy Dickens, etc.) and once told me of Glenn Campbell that he was just like us except that he was a regular guy with huge talent. And the country boy act on his TV series was showbiz that audiences liked and his publicity handlers encouraged it to build/keep viewers....

In response to an old post about auto tune.... When God gives a person the gift of a singing voice, there is no shame in adding to it and making it even more grand and special for people to hear. There is so much more to singing than the perfection of the words coming out. The words most always come from life experiences, experiencing tragedy, love and heartache deep within our soul. and thats where the healing comes. Weve been given the voice and answered to the calling to minister to people with that voice, and then the instruments are added. I couldnt bear to imagine no music which would mean the use of instruments wouldnt be present. It's no different than adding sparkles to a picture or painting that a young child creates. It just makes it even more beautiful! We shall be grateful that people are following.and using their God given talent for all to enjoy. May all who use their voice for God's glory be Blessed and carry on until their last breath!

... “Birmingham is a style of lake house… it’s got the porch going all the way around, man. If you’ve listened to it since then, it makes more sense. That was one of the magical things about that song because it can have multiple meanings. Obviously, the people living in Alabama though it was about Birmingham and the people that are architecturally knowledgeable know that it’s about a style of house. But it was really about longing to be back with that person that you missed being with, and you know you messed up, and that time and place is gone forever… you just want that back.” .
