This is a very funny story I have to tell you. 🤣🤣🤣 Before Merle Haggard passed away on 4/6/2016, he did an interview with a guy and the guy asked him what he thought about today's generation of country and he said this. It's crap. I can't tell what they're doing. They're talking about screwing on a pickup tailgate and things of that nature. I don't find no substance. I don't find anything you can whistle and nobody even attempts to write a melody. It's more of that kid stuff. It's hot right now. But I'll tell you what, it's cooling off.

I can't even explain how I'm feeling. I bought tickets to see Alabama this upcoming Friday because my aunt likes them and we both grew up listening to them. So I got us all tickets...and just 2 weeks ago I see on the flyer that Tracy is going to be a special guest. Now I am at a loss for words because it has always been my dream to see him. I've seen Alabama, but now, seeing Tracy is my main reason for going. Thank you for being one of my biggest inspirations for singing.

Tracy played a local, outdoor festival here in the New Orleans area about 10 years ago, and it was damn good! Every song he sang, folks knew, and sang along. Can’t wait for him to come back! What a full crowd he had. Man!

I keep playing this over in my Sony Studio Monitor MDR7506 headphones....and it get's better everytime I hear it. When Tracy hit's those low vocals "So take everything..." man it makes my eardrums shake and sends chills down my spine. One of my all time favorite TL songs and it started it all.

You had me from the very first note & I’ve reveled in all You Do, that is SO singularly YOU!! & a Tiny Few of the Up & Comer’s who appeared at around that time…..Mark Chestnut, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, & Kenny Chesney-who lived in the same apartment complex-& all 3 of you were friends LONG before you were “Discovered”. And I’ve held on thru your entire career!! I feel I NEED to thank you! And NOT just because of your incredible talents & open & discerning & Mind that has reached out to those in Need, right from the beginning! And since I followed You, in Every way I was able, & all the “studying up on You”, because when you care about a young person whose taken an ENORMOUS LEAP in their Career, You Want to Cheer Him On & Pray for His/Her success!!! I’ve done all I could to follow you down thru the years. But I’ve only been able to go to 2 of your concerts, & at the second one, because of my lack of Health & unusual circumstances, I only made it thru about a 1/3 of your concert at Robinson’s Rancheria, Near Clearlake CA. I’ve been disabled for many years & was forced to quit working in mid 2008. I developed Chronic Fatigue syndrome & it really decimated my Life. I wake up exhausted & I’m sometimes leveled by back spasms because of severe spinal distortions. It’s not visible to the naked eye, but internal scans reveal congenital spinal distortions, damaged discs, partially collapsed disc that occurred tobogganing on our Honeymoon, & all the discs in my tailbone are collapsed. BASICLY, my tailbone will NOT flex-which means sitting on a hard bench or chain is like sitting on a rock under my tailbone. It’s not fixable thru surgery either.

I’ve been a Tracy fan since I was a kid !! I learned all of his songs on guitar years ago. Funny story …. We were at his concert in alexandria Louisiana and I saw a guy walking around the crowd before the show started and he was wearing a team Bowtech shirt, I hollered out Team Bowtech because at the time I shot for them too, then I’ll be damned he was Tracy’s fiddle player !!
