The player most enjoyable to watch ever
@Chronz
@Chronz 7 жыл бұрын
Agreed, Steph makes scoring look effortless, Bron has the god given athleticism+intelligence, Kobe has the supreme skillset but Tmac had the best combination of them all at his peak IMO. Purely from an aesthetics point of view, when Tmac got going he was FAR more enjoyable. He could drain J's in your eye, undress you with his handles, AND throw down some nasty jams. None of the mentioned above had that, Brons J is suspect at times, Kobes shot selection and passing can be erratic and Steph is clearly not an above the rim player and his D can be underwhelming. What makes this more impressive are those above enjoyed their best days partly as a result of the rule changes, Tmac put up GOAT level production in the most dominant defensive era (before handchecking augments but AFTER zone legalization). Come playoffs, Tmac would lock down 1-4 too. Just hope we get that all-around package in a guy some day. Durant let me down

agree. tmac is hands down one of the most entertaining performer to watch when he steps on the court. just like what they say. you will never see another tmac performer again way too much talent. and was the most electrifying in the nba. and the most devastating scorer that anyone has ever seen. until injury came along. smh

Yeah, Tracy McGrady once had an interview and talks about he was about to go to gym but Kobe Bryant told him not to because it was only an offseason so he was chillin for a moment. Then hours later he went to gym and saw Kobe Bryant working out. Kobe did so dirty to him so he could get less preparation lol

So was T-Mac in the mid-2000s with Houston. T-Mac was in his prime with Hourston the first year as well, in 2004-2005. That is the season he scored his famous 13 seconds in 35 seconds. It's not like he was in his prime in Orlando and magically stopped his prime as soon as he put himself the Houston t-shirt. T-Mac was only 25 years old, healthy and still ni his prime his first season in Orlando.

He beat them 4yrs after, When Big Ben was kinda on the slide. McGrady met him in his peak year, when the guy was an absolute monster. Also, Bron's cavs were much better than the scrubs that T-Mac had.
@Chronz
@Chronz 7 жыл бұрын
Big Ben wasn't even on the team but it should be noted that Tayshaun became a revelation this series and really clamped down on Tmac during the latter half of the series. Still, that is one of the greatest examples of a player being heroic in defeat. Considering the quality of the opponent/defense + the lack quality teammates on his side and it was amazing they went 7. Sad part is, this was the first year the first round went the full 7 games. Maybe he makes the 2nd round this year if the old rules stayed in place.

This 2003 Pistons team did not have Rasheed Wallace so it does not compare to the 2004-2006 teams with the famous starting 5. And no Larry Brown who coached both Finals teams, when he left after 2005 they never made the finals again then Ben left after 2006. rookie Tayshaun Prince didn't get any significant playing time until the last 3 games that Orlando lost. And the 2003 Pistons have the worst record for a 1 seed under the 4-round format at 50-32. East was really poor for the early 2000s.

Mcgrady also had to start guarding Billups more and more throughout the series because Billups was lighting up Armstrong & Vaughn. If he only had to expend energy on offense, the Magic might've won the series.

I love how LeBron, Wade and Russell Westbrook are unapologetically fans of active star in the league even when they're stars themselves. Wade watched Kobe games, even the 2010 finals in person, LBJ obviously here with T-Mac but he's been on the record expressing his admiration and of Kobe Bryant, Westbrook like a true Kobe stan was disgusted at his friendly/surrendering behavor at the end of his career even saying it hurt him lol.

And he played injured. Lebrons team that went to the finals had a player called drew gooden, he was their 4/5th option on that cavs team.
