Mad respect for Tracy McGrady but it is sad seeing him having some remorse for not feeling like he accomplished everything. But he had no real help hell he even carried the Adidas brand in the early 2000's. He was really unstoppable and would have been an all time great and he is a blessing to the game. Man I love how much respect he is getting from all his former teams and players among others. Tracy McGrady did not win a ring, But Tracy McGrady won at life and then some.
@alexandrossimitzis146
@alexandrossimitzis146 7 жыл бұрын
Obviously winning a ring is very important but it's not everything. Great players like T-Mac, Barkley, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Dominique Wilkins, Iverson etc did not win it, but they still have a lot to be proud of.

T-Mac said that he regretted leaving the Raptors. Also bear in mind that the Orlando Magic coulda been a powerhouse if Grant Hill hadn't gone down with so many injuries. And remember also, they almost brought Tim Duncan. Imagine a healthy Orlando team with T-Mac, Grant Hill and TD! And also remember that T-Mac almost won a ring, until Ray Allen happened.

@toppa4504

kevin araujo Pls TMac is known for having an insane for step for his size. 6'8 and literally blowing past Point guards. There was no player like TMac. He was the first of this hybrid type of player. Then came LeBron then KD. TMac was the first, 6'8 smooth handles, soft touch, as quick as a PG, Taller than whoevers guarding him. If youre taller than him, you were too slow, if youre shorter than him, hell shoot right over you or take you to the basket. Either way TMac had a 44 inch vertical and basically shot over any defender and his tendencies for that were high.

Choose another year. 2004. 2005. I'll agree. Not 2006. Kobe ERUPTED that year. 35.4ppg, leading one of the crappiest Lakers lineups in the last 20 years to the playoffs (that team started with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown, for crying out loud). Dropping 62 on 3 quarters on a 1st seed Mavs, singlehandedly outscoring them. Dropping 45 four consecutive games. Scoring 40 ppg 27 times during the season. And of course, there was that little incident against Toronto Raptors. You may have heard about it. By 2006 T-Mac was already beginning having trouble with his knee, and was hurting from back spasms, and that was seen on his performance. It got worse afterwards. So yeah, on 04 and 05 I'd put T-Mac before Kobe. 06 changed it for good.

My favorite player of all time. Whenever I play NBA live back in 2007 I would always pick whatever team t-mac is in (I had the older games). And make him score a bunch of points. I had my mom buy me t-mac 6 shoes for my 15th birthday. I loved t-mac back then and said he was better than Kobe because my grandpa was a big Kobe fan. And I would always cheer for t-mac. I just wish I can get to meet him.

A living legend....#GOAT...Hall of Fame eligibilty should be somewhat based of cultural impact and while we always talk about the imprint of legends like Kobe...AI....MJ...not taking away from their greatness...its already understood...but...Er body wanted to be T Mac back in the early 2000s man....he was like the first laid back superstar that made the game just look so easy for him......this brother was art in motion....he deserves every bit of this....much respect T-Mac.....and oh 13 points in 30 sec...really

He was better than everyone in the league for 4-5 years. Overshadowed by Kobe. T-Mac didn't have the pieces he needed and he still act a fool on the court solo. Didn't like Van Gundy system for him but he still shined in Houston. Especially comes playoff time. He didn't reach far but he average like 28-32 points in the playoffs each year he started.

Worst luck ever. He was supposed to be with Grant Hill in Orlando, but, Hill got hurt. (Orlando almost signed Duncan) Went to the Rockets and Yao plays hurt and half the games. He did very well in the playoffs, just was bunched in a stacked West. 1st ballot all the way.

Great career regardless of the injuries and lack of team success. Long time fan and supporter since 2000, mainly because of how humble he is. Dude is on stage still talking about how he doesn't "accept" being a HOFer because he feels he doesn't "deserve" it. Crazy he still thinks while it's happening. But man the dude is one of the purest talents in NBA history and one of the most smoothest players to watch.

Raptors fan here! Absolutely elating to see T-Mac in the hall of fame where he belongs! I really didn’t want him to leave Toronto but he thought it was best for himself to do that. Incredible dunker and shooter. I know I’m a bit late on this, but congrats T-Mac, and well done!

Just the fact that we have to explain why T mac should be in no question is crazy. He literally is one of the best players I have ever seen and was literally considered to be going for the GOAT title even over Kobe when T mac was in his prime. He was incredible. That's why he got in so early no debate because real fans knew he was no joke and the ONLY thing that slowed him down was injuries. Even Kobe constantly says that T mac was the only person of his era that had him in awe and that he felt like he couldn't stop. Think about that. Kobe has played against MJ, Lebron, Iverson, Duncan, etc and he said T mac was the hardest to play against. Kobe is universally respected so even if you don't believe the media guys the great Mamba who was playing against him while you was on the couch let you know that T mac was not a game.

I was hoping his speech was going to be longer. Isn't that why he went last? Because they always give the popular inductees the longest speech at the end.

DP30 Well each person is given a time limit. Some people go way over like Allen Iverson did last year lol. But even now, T-Mac still cannot believe he is a HOFer. I don't even think he grasps the concept he was even up on the ballot to be one, yet alone be a finalist. So I wasn't shocked to see him keep the speech short and sweet. Plus Mac isn't too talkative in general. However, I did want to see him speak on his lack of winning success and how Scoliosis played a role in his career.
