This is really strange. He's much more lucid and coherent here than he is these days, but at the same time his comedy in 2002 is clearly very crass and low-lifey. Today he rarely even makes sense, and sometimes his words, the way he pronounces them, is all screwed up (maybe from his accident, I don't know). Nevertheless his comedy today is much more gentle, and he now has a way of making people feel good about themselves, not making them feel awkward and stare at their shoes. Good on him for changing, but still . . . very strange.
