Great series! I too got to experience this, twice. I joined into a guild run of which none spoke english and they were all in discord talking by themselves. Wiped every boss, some bosses multiple times, felt like i was playing a single player game with bots. Somehow didnt learn from that and did the same thing with another non english speaking guild haha.

We cleared this shit 15 years ago no addons and no knowledge of nothing. I wish I could do gnomer but no one will take me because I haven’t done it and everyone on Wild Growth is a sweaty try hard that requires all WB, consumes, and bis items to do this level 40 leveling raid. The classic community is the worst. They’ll gate keep anyone that doesn’t play the game 25/8. I didn’t think it could be any worse than wotlk gate keeping but once again, the classic community has proved me wrong by becoming even more toxic. And it’s not even their final form yet. Yippie! We can never just have something good. It’s always gotta be min/maxed to fullest degree and then cry that there’s no content while keeping the player base segregated for something as arbitrary as saving 2min per boss fight.

To be fair, I don’t think people need to go to extremes when setting up a raid, but I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with setting up a decently strong group when it’s easy to do and saves you a ton of time on the raid itself (and also saves your buffs / consumes / gold)

Also if u do that the half raid won't have any gear and even if they play perfect they won't do any damage/healing because of that.

It's weird but Chronostatic Preservation is an HPS decrease. It's literally only worth Mass Regen'ing people (even if it overheals a bunch) and keeping Burnout/Spell power for more Crit and damage. You'll see most top healing mages don't touch Regeneration or chrono

This was a mage that just hit 40 2-3hours before reset, didn't have time to farm all the best runes sadly. Chrono is less HPS but it's more effective healing when people are getting chunked so its a nice safety in pugs so I def recommend it if you're not with guildies

This is why you always check logs before inviting people who just want to get carried and take the gear. They dont care to get better and will wipe the group over and over wasting everyones time. Always do gear checks as well. Stay safe out there guys, classic wow is full of really poor players.

Notable thing about therma his threat gets very weird when you kite with his flame thrower warlocks are usually ok because of searing pain but it is especially easy to pull aggro while the tank is kiting beyond normal threat rules. Its one of the main problems in alot of pugs and really all you gotta do is lay off a bit during. Example: I watch my threat i was specifically trying to be as low as possible then when the flame surge started i started pumping and lo and behold snatched threat

@@Messametti it's cuz if you are at range you need more threat to pull than in melee, iirc you need like 110%/120% threat (compared to the normal 100% melee range threat) for the boss to chase you, assuming the warlock didnt just rip threat normally

What's funny is the sweat tryhards that pretend Gnomer requires military spec ops preparation, training and precision. That they've built it up so much just shows their epeens are the real driving force behind "6/6 EXP REQUIRED WE PARSE!" Their own egos depend upon pretending it's far harder than it is. Decent leadership and a couple of experienced hands in raid pug with other inexperienced, undergeared peeps can very much run Gnomer successfully.

Yea obviosly they can, but why take em when u can get some1 better? or as u said "6/6 EXP REQUIRED WE PARSE!", maybe they do want to get parses and get people with some raidgear consumables wbuffs etc to shorten killtimes=better logs. If you take people who dont bother to get someprebis/runes they probably dont bother to get other stuff that will help out or even bother to look up a guide for their rotation/build. But take this with a grain of salt. This is my opinion and and i agree with you on some parts. Been playing a rogue phase 2 and yes first weeks was really hard to find a raid even with all prequisites.

It's not hard. That's the great thing about Classic WoW. Easy raids to just chill and spend time with friends. But these reject groups can't clear the easy content, which definitely supports that being selective in who one lets in can save one from a lot of frustration.
