Actually, there was not much damage. They can track where the missiles will land. My guess is that they are targeting the ones that would be a problem and letting ones go that are not to much of a problem. It costs a lot to shoot down a missile. The image of life in the US and Americans in general for Japanese people have pretty much collapsed since the early 2010s when social media started to become popular. I spent time growing up in the US in my childhood and early teenage years so I was aware of America’s problems. We have 40,000 recognized US troops currently in the middle east with an additional battalion on standby for upcoming deployment. Then there are an additional ~3,000 individuals organized into echelons classified as private contractors with 500 In special operations.
