The Kings can't really do much with the locker room cancer that is PLD. He couldn't make it work in either Columbus or Winnipeg. Maybe there's a reason. He doesn't fit very well because he doesn't have a team first mentality like MacKinnon, Rantanen, McDavo or Draisaitl

@@jammerz04 what about the game against the flyers? He decided to pass the puck to Logan O'Connor so he could register his first career hat trick instead of being selfish and registering another hat trick for himself. Not only that but he made sure to stand up for Sammy G when he got rocked in his first season. He also made changes to their locker room so there wasn't an ice cream machine anymore to benefit the players and help them stay more healthy. Please tell me how either of these scenarios are overshadowed by his contract. Oh, I forgot to mention he also tries to give other players on the team some pointers when he sees they were having a bad game or asks if something is going on. Without jumping down their throats and always pointing out their flaws. He also has been known to spend some of his money to help the Avs as a whole out. And it's because he shows how much he's worth almost every game and still shows hunger for another Stanley Cup instead of deciding to rest on his laurels. Matter of fact he's never asked to be traded anywhere during the drought from the time he first stepped foot on the ice until their win in 2022. Not only that but since his first game in Colorado each and every season he's had more assists than goals at the end of each season and he actively tries to set other players up to score. Not only that but he's the main reason aside from Rantanen's skill that he hardly ever drops below a point per game pace

Hope so, but Verbeek needs to act before Henrique gets injured. Seems every Ducks is getting injured this year.

Colorado needs a backup goalie. I honestly don’t feel the need for a 2C with Ross Colton in that role. Remember we will most likely be getting back Val and hopefully Landy for playoffs.

Could argue that the Blues will add more D without making a move when a healthy Faulk and Perunovich return to the line-up, but they must move out a D contract in the Summer.

Sanderson is our best defensive Dman. I like the idea of bringing in a RD, but that'll have to wait in the offseason.

I look at the Sens roster & still can't believe they aren't better. It's not a case of names not playing well either. Most of the guys have been at least as good as expected. The results just seem to come out poorly for them. I feel for the Ottawa fans almost as much as Buffalos.

Given Henrique’s age (34) vs Monahan’s age (29), a 2nd rounder wouldn’t be that bad. A 1st rounder would only make sense if the team sending one to the Ducks is very confident they will win the Cup this year, or they have a surplus of picks

Nobody in the hint for real has a surplus of picks. The Ducks will get more than Henrique is worth because that's how it works at the deadline. He is a decent enough player that can help anywhere in your top 9.

They said so called said Markstrom had something to do with Holtz and the trade fell through which is smart the Devils shouldn't be giving someone like Holtz up for a 34 year old goalie..

You really think they would break up Quinn Hughes and Hronek? They have been lights out together. I don’t see a chance they break that pair up unless Hronek gets injured. Not saying Tanev would be a downgrade, but they shouldn’t change anything if it’s working

The Avs may WANT a 2C but they NEED a better goalie. Not a 2C. They can do fine with their forward lines. Unless they are going to get ANOTHER incredible d-man and a center then they need a goalie.
