Tom is in his punished arc. At one point he said maybe jokingly that our team was so bad we did not deserve a Quarterback. This team over the past few years has beaten him down so much that he wants us to take the least risky option (hes big trade down) in every situation, so he can keep his expectations lower and be less likely to be let down again.

I think we need to jumpstart the rebuild Trade down Aquire 3 first rounders or better! Rely on a Micheal Penix type player. reach in the first if you have too or trade down twice assuming we trade for 11, 23+ with Vikings to aquire more draft picks in the process. More future Round 1-2 talent to look forward too.

If Maye is there at 3 draft him and sit him for a year. Maye definitely has the physical tools to be a stellar Qb but he needs to soaking up as must footbalk knowledge as possible in the film room and from the sidelines. No need to risk destroying his confidence without a top tier WR/TE and no LT.

They will not get an offer of four 1st round picks or three 1st round picks plus a pro bowl level player. Just draft the QB of your choice. I think no team is desperate enough to mortgage their future for one of these QBs when either McCarthy will slide to #11 or Penix Jr. is more than good enough to achieve very positive results for the three teams drafting #11, #12, and #13.

I really don't see what Phil sees in Maye. I've tried to join the bandwagon by watching as much tape on his games as I could find. The result of doing that has actually made me COMPLETELY OUT on him. He's a bust waiting to happen. His hero ball, inconsistent accuracy and nervous energy he plays with scares the hell out of me as a Pats fan. Taking him is a Maye-stake, one that they'll regret for the rest of the decade GUARANTEED.

Vikings have been preparing for maye this whole off season..it all comes down to who the commanders take..the vikings and pats have had this deal in place for a while...the pats could easily take 3 firsts from the vikings...then trade 11 and 23 to get to #5 and still land jj...it's a no Brainerd bur make no mistake,the patriots organization has slowly been preparing the fan base to make this move..it's happening

trading down would be the smart thing to do imo. joe alt is going to be a hof left tackle for many years if healthy. this is the biggest selling point to any qb. you could get anybody on the fa market. every year qbs are oversold for hype. every year. i bet 2-3 guys of the top 5 qbs will be available like zach wlson and mac jones. take the sure thing.
