Be aware, these are "potential" salaries especially for artistic trades like tattooing and hairstyling. You're more your own contractor and you have to be good AND hustling. Plus they might be talking up their income.

Yeah, when the tatto artist said "probably" like $250k I was thinking CAP! you would know exactly how much you make if it was consistent money.
@djm218910 ай бұрын
Yeah, I do know some who can make that, but it fluctuates and they use the best month as the base calculation for the other 11 months. Also they sorta looked, average so I'd say no more than 150k. I'm 29, and earn $120k as an engineer. Fully remote and only do 32hrs/week. I get great benefits but idk how to calculate all that as a total compensation like some of them said. Maybe I'd be at like $180k+? Also if they work for themselves, they gotta pay premiums for healthcare and finance their time off, etc. have a friend works for himself makes 180k, but said after all the stuff he had to pay out of pocket that a normal company handles, he said it'd be equivalent to like 130k. Just so people are aware.

@shoutouttomypeoples538 they are bussiness owners and probably only spoke of the gross revenue rather than the net. It is easy for restaurants to bring in over a million in revenue for example but after paying the workers, the rent, the cost of food, and whatever else, the profit is only 100k+

So im 29, earn $120k base salary. Bonus of 5k+. Fully remote and only work 32hrs/week. Idk how they calculated their "total compensation" which includes all benefits. I have great benefits, great PTO, and 401k match. But as an engineer im used to great benefits so im just looking at my base salary that never diverges. Idk if some of those salaries were inflated, if not good on them.

@@jamesallan111The best paying ones are usually software, computer, chemical, nuclear.. And some can get up there depending on the type of work, like systems, reliability, or electrical engineers that work for refineries or other industrial-type places make great money. Aerospace can also get up there. I'm probably missing a few.. and the lower ones are usually civil and structural.. and then mechanicals usually in the middle There's also materials and environmental, but I'm not as familiar with those salaries

Trades are good money but it's hard work. I wish there were more older people who could speak on the quality of life as they aged. The first guy, the roofer touched on it. He's 32 but feels like he's 90. No Bueno. I'll stick with my desk job, working from home 80% of the time.

Constructions good for about 15 years around the 10 year mark (based on your age/health) u will notice ur body having problems typically you are at max pay as a worker within 3 to 6 years and if you are skilled enough in certain aspects getting into a supervison roll can happen very quickly which earns more pay but significantly more stress. If you are working In a field that exposes you to different chemicals I don't recommend working in that environment for more the 15 years even if your phycotic with your ppe and if your female I'd probably avoid chemicals across the board if you plan to have kids (better safe the sorry mindset)

That's what I'm thinking. That'd be 130k. Maybe it's true but you'd also have to look at total compensation. I'm 29, an engineer and earn $120k base. But I also get bonuses, great healthcare, 401k match, and great PTO. I'm also fully remote and work 32hrs/week. With all my benefits maybe I'd be closer to 180k+? Idk how to calculate all that, I only go on base. When I get bonuses, I just use them as savings and keep my budget like they don't exist.
