SF90 XX looks amazing 😍😍 Yeah, it's a lot of money, but if I could afford it, I'd definitely take it. But it's main appeal is definitely the way it looks, hard to believe performance can be significantly better than regular SF90, at least on the normal road. Track is different story.

Pista was 21 seconds faster than the 488 gtb at the Nürburgring and 5 seconds average faster in other tracks, having just 50 hp more and 100 lbs less. The XX is going to obliterate the SF90. Is not about HP or weight, is about how they modify the engine, the transmission, the turbos, the traction and aeros.

There is more to it. We were told at the launch that while peak torque and hp might not be that different, the average torque produced with be substantially more through the gears. About 35%. Remember these are just peak torque numbers Ferrari quote, not numbers that in any way shows what the torque is in each gear. Also, in 6th and 7th gear, torque is virtually flat from 3300 rpm. It will not be a lot faster out of the hole, but it will be faster for sure. And think about this. In Brook's case, he has a non AF car. This will easily be 75-100 kg lighter by comparison.

Only you can decide what the XX brings to the channel. We haven't seen the SF90 on the track that much lately. Unless the XX is going to be racing there is not much reason to buy one. It's a lot of money that could be spent on something that you will race.

@@Baimobile7 What are you talking about? Over 2000 SF90's have been made. There will be 599 Spiders and 799 Coupé's of the XX. It will be more limited than the 812 Comp.

Here's what you have to factor in. When you accept your allocation, also sign an agreement that means you have to keep your regular SF90 until delivery of the XX. Then you have to keep the XX for 12 months before you can sell it. This means that by the time this is delivered, the SF90 will have depreciated further and many will be unloading their regular SF90's at once. When time then comes to sell the XX, there might be a new hotness out. That does not mean that the XX will go for less than MSRP, but it will not be that high up. This is not as easy as one might think, far from it. Plenty of opportunity to take a hit somewhere.

I think it's the pinnacle of what Ferrari has to offer. The styling is INCREDIBLE! Twice the price for two tenths is a hard pill to swallow though. And that's like you said if that's actually the case. But where the car will shine is the track. What are the track times between the two does anyone know? Either way if I had a million throw away dollars you bet your ass that car would be sitting in my garage lol

The allocation for the SF90XX is worth its weight in gold instantly. It's only going to be offered to whoever Ferrari deems as its best clientele. You can easily sell it to one of the Arab/UAE princes for much more.

@@chinqlinq89 No, you cannot sell it. You cannot change the name and you have no money in it other than your deposit until you get your car. Your name, your dealers name and your dealer reps name is logged in the Ferrari MODIS system. You cannot put another name on your allocation, and you can most certainly not move an allocation from the US to the UAE. IF and only IF the dealer has a say in who gets an allocation, yes, if the dealer rep is in on it, he can take your name off and put another on it. However, that client has to be a client of that dealer, and the car must be a car where Ferrari does not care who gets it. You can do crap like that with basic 296 allocation if that's your thing and your dealer is an ass, but that's it. There is absolutely no way of shifting an allocation for an SF90 XX to anther client, especially one in another country. This is why there are scams going on with people "selling" allocations. We saw this with the 812 Comp. But as it was, all allocations for sale, bar none, were scams. It is not possible due to how the MODIS system works. What will get you blacklisted today is if you sell the car, or your dealer help you sell the car within the first 12 months. You sign a contract where you agree to keep the car for 12 months. In the case of the SF90, you are also not allowed to sell the SF90 until you take delivery of your XX. I have bought many Ferraris from new, I also have an allocation for an XX Spider. I think I have some idea about how the business end of this works.

Price in Italy, including VAT (22%) is Euro 770k fot the SF90 XX coupé and 850k for the spider. Bse price for a SF90 is Euro 430k.

Yes absolutely not, but I reallydo think you should keep the SF90 and throw on some downpipes, exhaust, upgrade the turbos, and a tune. You will easily be able to surpass the XX power and performance. I really can't wait for GM to build the Zora with the Eray drive train with the Z06 engine and the ZR1 with the a boosted LT5 and hybrid technology. Since everyone that has driven or spent time with the C8 Z06 raves about how great it is, so I can't wait to see what happens when they boost the flat plane LT5 engine.

@@larryc1616 You are way off. Yes, 30 hp peak more, and a bit more peak torque. here's what you don't know apparently. Lets start with weight. Try 145 lbs lighter than the base model, which in Brooks case will probably be closer to 175 or so. Try about 35% more torque through the gears on average. It will be quite a bit quicker out of the hole, that's for sure.

The XX looks great but is it worth the extra? I don’t think so. That wing will make it slower in a drag race. The SF90 is still my favourite car. I watch yours and Shmee150 s . There aren’t many super cars you can enjoy as a daily.

Realistically it will probably be slower down the quarter with all the aero, its designed to lap circuits not drag. However for appreciation, looks and sheer bad assery you'd be crazy not to get one if given the opportunity

Since you're only going to dragstrips and not doing any competitive track runs I'd say the non-XX is a nicer car to drive and enjoy in any situation other than track where possibly the XX will shine. An XX with the non-XX interior and features would be sublime though...

If you do not have an allocation, it will be hard to say whether or not it will be a good investment. It will be 2½-3 years before you can pick them up used. By then the SF90 will drop further, especially since people are unloading their regular SF90's at that point. Will it be faster on track? Absolutely. Will it be a completely pointless track car? Absolutely. It's an absolute waste to buy this as a track car as it will be stupidly expensive to run, and many real track cars will still be faster, especially race cars. Heck, a little Radical SR3 will destroy this. If a track car is what you want, get a used Ferrari GT3 racer or Challenge car. If it must be road legal, there is no doubt that the current GT3RS is the way to go. That is probably the first road going 911 that is a proper track car - and on slicks it is faster than a Porsche 911 RSR. This also means that it will be on par if not faster than the XX on some tracks. If what you want is a very focused street car that can be fun at the occasional track day, this is fine and it will be significantly faster than the regular SF90 in that situation. I'm not being negative about the SF90XX, I have a Spider allocation myself. I'm just saying that you need to be mindful of what these cars actually are. Want an investment? If you have money to buy this on the second hand market, go and pick up an Enzo before they skyrocket. I picked up one last summer, and even with the current softening here in Europe, I'm still offered more than 700k€ over what I paid 12 months ago. It will be the next one to take off is the word out there. Alternatively, pick up an F40 or LaF.

We have same opinion, in fact I order 992 GT3RS in secondary market (has not arrive yet, RHD side car). Why I might choose SF90XX over Enzo, simply because XX is newer, new tech, better performance etc, and I really like the SF90 variant model especially the tail of Assetto Fiorano. Did you order SF90XX? From your explaination seems you do not like it. What I mean secondary market, I buy slot from someone who get allocation (will be more expensive than MSRP), but it is not used.

@@brad7425 Yes I have an allocation for a Spider XX and I will order it. I'm waiting for a TM slot. I have nothing against it, I like it a lot. The SF90 has been one of the best and most interesting driving cars Ferrari has produced in a long time. I'm not negative about the car, but people who have not had the VS cars, especially people who do not race, often think the cars are something they are not. I have had both the Pista and Pista Spider, own the 812 Comp, have had other VS cars. My point is that these cars are first and foremost road cars. They are good for the occasional track day, but they are road cars. Bakes wear fast, they eat tyres etc. They are not race cars and they don't like being pushed as hard as race cars or actual track day cars. They don't overheat or anything they run fine, but they are way too compromised to be considered race cars or track day cars. What Ferrari knows is that most of their clients who properly track or race, use different cars, i.e race cars of some kind. They target the VS cars towards people who like a more raw feeling etc. and what Ferrari does better than just about anyone, is to create a car that is raw but works on the road. This is also why a Spider XX makes sense. It is not a Spider trying to be a race car, it is a Spider being a very raw street car, and that it is perfectly fine for. Now if you put an SF90 AF and the XX on track, there is no doubt as to what will be the faster car. It will probably be as different as a 488 and Pista, which is night and day on track. But on the A roads or on a twisty mountain road? You need to be good to outrun say an F8 in a Pista. On a road, the Pista is harder to drive fast. It is faster, but more loose, rough and harsh - it feels less planted on the road thus feeling less confidence inspiring. That is what you get on the road from the VS cars such as the XX, Pista, Comp etc. Once you get used to it, they are faster, but it is not as easy. Still, Ferrari knows better than most other manufactures where the limits are. I had a 991.2 GT3RS and after 18k km I sold it. It was not a good road car and I have race cars for the track. It was loose and all over the place. That's what happens when you try to beuil a race car for the road. It is important to stress that the new GT3RS is even more hardcore, and it will most definitely not be a good road car. That is why I say, get a GT3RS for track, fit it with slicks and go. If you want a raw but drivable A and B road carver, the XX is most certainly a good option.

The xx version is purely meant for tracking, not sure it feats your content (straight lining); if anything, get a Rimac. Really don’t think you’ll really take advantage of it, unless you are thinking of racing and start a series around that sort of theme.

Yes, if you „need“ to buy that Ferrari to stay a good client and get in the future all opportunities, to buy whatever you want. No, if it’s just the successor to your SF90. For racetrack reasons the XX will be faster I think, but for your street and drag purposes I think there will be not a big difference.

By the way the SF90XX has storage space, but is behind the seats !! And as the SF90 the SF90 XX is electronic limited! There is a few tests on the normal SF90 with remap to remove the limit and the car do way more than 211mp/h

I thought Ferrari was making ~2500 SF90’s. The XX will have ~50% of the run of the base model. That doesn’t seem limited enough to justify the 2x premium in price for a car with similar performance specs. But it does look cool and if you want it and have the cash, don’t let anyone stop you.

It is not twice the price. Maybe 35-40%. In this day and age, those numbers are fairly low, especially for Ferrari. Remember that unlike McLaren, and Lamborghini to an extent, Ferrari has zero issues selling all the high end cars they can. To put it into perspective think about this. It is more limited than the 812 Comp. It is targeted towards Tier 1 SF90 owners. This will easily exceed MSRP as mid engined VS Ferraris always has. This is the car that in part will determine whether or not you are on for the F80 for those who aren't already on that list. Now had Ferrari the same issues selling limited cars as McLaren, sure then it would be a tall order to shift 1298 cars. But people are falling all over themselves to get on the bandwagon. At the end of the day what defines what a limited number is, is the buying power of the demographic + the demand. In short. This is a very hard-to-get car these days.
