What about we got in Canada with protection of the cartel of supply management . We are paying high prices in goods like Milk and in the U.S play the free market price. So now you know... U.S trade play justice, copyright and national security. We can great deal as Maxime Benier said onces low taxes, more opportunities and more goods, plus even better treatment and security in our people...

Deal EU They don't play free trade base reports WTO they don't like goods from Canada. Forget about China they cheap and still and don't even have justice or even respect and last Mexico don't have security and the curruption is biggers so personally I am Canadian expect have better relationship with U.S and be close it to deal with common wealth interest and those who would like to play as we do...

How come higher cost from an outside import, decresse local demand. If the imported stuff is pricy, people will buy domestic. And any small decrease in demand will be covered by increase market shate of domestic producer..

The tariff act worked that’s why America emerged number one by far. Allowing cheap junk to come into America just brings down the standard living for everyone in that country.

Trade war is just a great opportunity for countries like India China Philippines.. what you think industries will keep paying the tariffs they will start shifting jobs outside USA to compensate for the tariffs once tariffs go out of control whoever thinks this will benefit jobs in USA you are just waiting to be made fool of...

I bought a Toyota or a Saturn as automobiles sold in America in a global marketplace, in which my brother's big box retail stores also "bought and sold" Asian products-e.g., China). "Ford and Chevy family" (See, Motorsports Research Series, 2003). Right now, I have a sweater jacket from China and have held a Samsung phone from verizon (only 2 product manufacturers) and Walmart (that was a competitor chain of my brother's Ames and KMART), and a vizio television! And, new were Vietnamese products and "Banana Republic" and South American products (e.g., Columbian coffee) for the malls "with Canada" that "took out downtown malls". Obviously, our stores, malls and automobiles have been "going under" so maybe the "simple buy your own products" (now on 25 parts, only 10 parts made in America) versus trade internationally (must be reciprocal) is still the answer. "Just sharing" ("feels guilty" because of buy local)!! Julie Ann Racino, upstate New York State, 2021 "labor agreements that equalize US and Mexican labor" at World Trade Organization
