5:47 If there is no pull back after the breakout, I would enter at the previous high (bullish) or previous low (bearish) after the breakout.... I would use support or resistance at a key level to validate my entry as well as a trandline. 7:14 If there is no retest, you can use market stucture with a bearish trendline to determine the direction of price to take an accurate entry.... You would enter at the end of the pullback once the pullback doesn't break the bearish trendline, even though it didn't retest the resistance line.... You can validate your entry with a moving average or candlestick patterns.

Trade breakout with a build up only, if price was in a push phase for a while before the breakout then you should wait for a pullback.

yup agree with you, if the prior move before breakout is very strong momentum on one side..more often than not the breakout will reverse course to retest the broken level or something.. :)

In a sense, the pullback trader is also a breakout trader, because the breakout is out of the corrective wave ie when the new impulsive wave begins.

At the end of the video do you mean like trade the breakout, set a reasonable stop loss(maybe 1 or 2 candles before the breakout candles.) After the price push from the breakout, set stop loss to breakeven. This way, if the price pullback, you got breakeven and then able to enter a pullback trade. if the price did not pull back enough and continue going, you won't miss out on the trade.

I'm thinking of trying both to always secure a position but with the same risk. I'm going to be trying 50% position sizes with 2 entries. One on breakout and one on pullback to stop missing e Certain entries. It also means that if it were to go wrong you are stopped at 0.5% loss.

What you call a fakeout could just be a diagonal formation of price discovery, megaphone formation. Higher highs and lower lows. Happens all the time but many technicians are unaware or think they're rare. You could try play a printed candle breakout of a broadening formation instead if its clearly present. 🙂 Great video and content

In 1st example, there's high chance that breakout could fail as it's a one sided move.. I think it's better to trade on breakouts after build-up and wait for re-test after parabolic move.. if the re-test doesn't happen till our trendline, then we should have fibo levels drawn so that we won't miss the trade..
@loudoniii4 жыл бұрын
Jeevan Patil Yes, if it’s a classic Wave 2 pullback, we might expect to see a pullback to around the 38.2% Fibonacci level, before continuation into Wave 3, which is often our most profitable wave.
