In finding an attorney it sounds like the customer hiring the attorney must know everything about the patent law before hiring an attorney in order to make sure the attorney is a credible good attorney. Is this a correct understanding of what I took from the video to be implying or stating?

Thanks for your comment. You don't need to know everything about patent law or IP in order to hire a credible attorney for your needs. The same things apply that apply for most purchases. You want to ensure they have good reviews and a good presence through different online platforms. Also if you have a chance to speak with the attorney before hiring this can also help inform your decision.

What happens if the attorney hired dies or is detained or not able to respond for whatever reason and the email on the filing is the attorney's email and time passes without the customer not being contacted? The email only option sounds like a problematic situation if it's time sensitive. Perhaps if no response situations that there should be more options to contact all parties involved. What are your thoughts on this issue of time sensitive and communication issues? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. There are petitions that can be filed in order to revive an abandoned case due to unforeseen circumstances. So in the event, communication is missed there is a solution!
