Hi! If you guys do decide to make the ceviche, please use a glass or plastic bowl. Do not use metal! There can be a reaction between the acidity in the lemon or citrus and the metal container being used. Going to make some ceviche myself this weekend.

Hi! I don't know if you already got your answer or not, but the avocado oil you bought is virgin cold pressed and the Chosen Foods avocado oil is expeller pressed and refined, that's why they look different. Cold pressed oils are typically not used for cooking at high heat and are used more often in dressings or for dipping. I love your videos by the way! Thanks for sharing!

Greetings from San Diego!!!! Great haul!!!! I had the mango beer that you recommended and it didn’t disappoint... can’t wait to go back and find the blood orange beer. ... it’s funny how most of the things you had I just bought and that yogurt is definitely a treat. I added some of their organic coconut and some granola to it and wow, an even better grown up treat. Can’t wait to try the yam ice cream as I over looked that section but had I saw it I would have got it. Great haul!!!!!

Halvah is great! I was thrilled when I saw it and couldn’t wait to eat one. I describe it as tasting like sweet sawdust (but not really). They are the perfect individual size for a little dessert. Yummmm!

It’s been my first stop every time I leave the house during quarantine... the wait is never short of an hour. And that’s really sad. No where else in town is that crazy. After watching this haul, I got majority of the products in this video, and all were very good. Hibiscus was a surprise. I personally do not like hibiscus anything, but those flowers were good. Thank you for reviewing and taste testing!

Katie, you can cook with that avocado oil. This one from Trader Joe’s actually looks LESS processed than the ones you are used to seeing, hence the sediment and creamier/thicker appearance.

You probably got your answer but virgin oils are meant for post cook drizzling/ none heated cooking. Heating virgin oils specifically reduces there nutrients I have read :) Thanks for another great haul!

Great haul! You need those yummy drinks during Covidgetton when you’re home from work. Thank you for all u do. I’m not a fan of Halvah - and I’m Greek - it’s definitely an acquired taste. That’s weird that they don’t boast that the TJs Avocado oil can withstand high heat, it’s big selling point. BTW: Your nails look fantastic! I’m sure you did them yourself! Do tell! Will you share how you disinfect everything when you bring a haul home?

Yes, you can cook with avocado oil. We use it to make our organic popcorn.

Love TJ’s Argentinian Red Shrimp! They're fresh caught, flash frozen and some of the cleanest shrimp available for supermarket purchase. I’ll also try the North Atlantic and make a ceviche. In my cart tomorrow for sure. I just watched the taste test video and can't wait for the beer tasting! Thanks, Katie!

miss Trader Joe have not been since March 1, 2020; can not wait for truffle brownie mix & baking with Benson! I went Kombucha crazy also, love the stuff. the other brand is chosen but the expeller pressed is higher quality like your first pressed olive oil which you use only for dressings or over a dish. your avocado oil is still high flash point but expeller press is higher quality because of they way its processed, minimally.

I tried the new avocado oil and it has a very strong flavor. I had the same experience as you as far as having it on my Costco list. I’m not using it for a cooking oil because the flavor is so strong. I still had to get mine from Costco for cooking.

If you’re making ceviche with those shrimp they are already cooked so only leave them in for 10 minutes otherwise they may get tough… and like the other viewer said, marinate in a glass bowl not metal.😊
