A point of clarification. Unless the user changes it, RSI keys only on closes by default, it doesn't "see" highs and lows. Thus, divergence (regular or hidden) will occur by comparing closes, not highs/lows. The video is well done, and should be beneficial to all who are not familiar to this approach! Thks.

2:21 isn't that divergence backwards? It should be a lower low on price and a higher low on the RSI. That would show a bullish divergence.

It looks that way to me, too. And the lows were used instead of the highs. I did notice on a few examples, if you look for divergence on the highs instead of lows (or lows instead of highs), you get a pronounced divergence that works the way you describe. In not sure why they're doing divergence this way, as it just seems wrong. But I am glad to learn that a stochastic indicator can be used for entry timing. That's my msin takeaway from this video.

Okay, after doing some research, it looks like divergence of the lows is always bullish, regardless of which goes up, price, or RSI. And divergence of the highs is always bearish. In normal divergence, direction is indicated by RSI peaks/dips, and in "hidden" divergence, direction is indicated by price peaks/dips. So I learned something after all.

If you have limited time and want to day trade, you should choose a lower time frame, like M5. If you want to be with the markets the whole day, you can go to a higher time frame, like M15 - H1. In the very first example you made a mistake. Smoothed MA and stochastic indicator say BUY but the divergence actually says SELL. This won't be a BUY-trade!

You right 200 is out of the park. I am using 55 smoothed heikenashi works just fine as far as I can see. Will also try it using just the cloud of the ichimoku to separate long and short. What I like about it is hidden divergence leads to explosive moves. There are few setups and you will.miss some good moves but it does not lead you astray
