She was the great pianist and singer of my youth. She was a teacher all around DC schools in the 60's. You haven't lived till you have Ms. Roberta direct your school chorus. I had forgotten about this cut till I viewed the PBS special tonite. Ms. Flack will always be one of the artists in the soundtrack of my life.

This beautiful expression of Roberta Flack's song "Trade Winds" is even more obvious in our society today. We are seriously in trouble. It means more today than when she sang it back in the day. It has not lost any of its power of being an important message. Listen to her and do something to change these concerns and conditions. Our youths still need us to care for them. However today I've enjoyed listening to her music and her expressions of her artistry. Thank you Roberta.

I believe this song should be played at every prom/graduation for high school seniors. If one kid takes heed to the lyrics of this song, I believe Ms Flack would be proud. This is such a powerful song I can't begin to explain. This is an absolutely timeless song. Thanks for this prayer with a nice reggae beat, Ms Flack. You will NEVER be forgotten.
