I agree but at the same time, you never know what someone just wants out of their yard too. Especially in the country. Around here you could take a four wheeler and get a rusted 55 bel air that needs some work. So open minds and a positive can do attitude can go a long way at the same time

This is pretty good, even though you have a bunch of friends throwing you bones. I did this once with plate carrier (bullet proof vest), traded up a few times and ended up with a cord of fire wood. Along the way there was a kindle that i traded for a .22 rifle, that was traded for a coleman fat tire mini bike, which was traded for a honda 3 wheeler, that was then sold for $400. The $400 paid for the firewood. All said it took a couple years to do that.

What landcruiser was worth $500? Have you looked at what they are going for? Clean fj-40's go for multiple 10's of thousands of dollars. if it was running at all it was worth more than $500 without a doubt.. I can't imagine a complete landcruiser (any model) at all being worth that little even not running.
