Thanks, this is likely the most helpful and educational series I've seen on trading. The way you're showing the losses, missed trades etc but sticking to your plan. Also managing risk and managing different accounts.

Hi Will, I'm looking back at this trade/video today (6th Jan 2025) it appears your SL was exactly at the liquidity level and from movement i can see on GU this morning (09:45am) price has pushed up around 80 pips from your original entry. Does this indicate to you the setup was fundamentally wrong from the beginning? I personally wouldn't have taken a long from the level you did and to be honest, in retrospect the liquidity level (your SL) looked far more attractive for an initial long position.
@philp8134Күн бұрын
Yeah I think so too. I'm certainly not trying to disrespect Will but there was no significant LQ sweep since the 22:00 GMT candle on the 2nd Jan. The candle that took him out was the LQ sweep of the previous 3 swing lows. Then price continued to make a proper BOS...with a convincing close above the 14:15 candle 2nd Jan. That, then made the low that took him out, the strong low..as you can see. I could be wrong but that's the way I see it. Big respect for Will to show his losses like he does.....most youtubers would never do that. All the best for 2025.

Man, your discipline is on another level to have the patience to wait for a whole Nother day or two days possibly even three days for a set up on only Gu 15 min. But I guess it works for you though. I personally would look at every 4X major and minor pair and I can usually have a decent position every day but if you have a calm laidback personality it’s pretty good because you’re not trying to trade daily but if you have a personality where you like trading and getting into the market and you’re more aggressive. trading one pair is extremely difficult. And could make someone break their trading rules if they’re not careful it’s all depending on your personality though is what I’ve observed. I feel like if your trading system works on one pair it should work on every pair.

I really appreciate the realistic point of view on teading in your videos, helps me temper my expectations as I'm trying to learn, I was wondering if you would ever consider making a video for UK traders on possible approaches to tax when it comes to personal accounts and prop firm accounts?
@JAMESPINHORN-m3c3 күн бұрын
I took a similar trade that Friday on GU even though I closed the trade at that high I still thought your trade was better even though you lost because I didn’t stick to my tp and RR whereas you did and let the trade do its thing, even though it reversed and tagged your stop. that takes so much discipline to not close early.

Bro do you look at the DXY by any chance? It would have helped a lot to know it was in High value area, looking to go higher on the weekly chart... Great video, always learning from you and keep it up!

i would suggest will to not rush the challenge, i get you’re an exceptional trader so to you challenges are easy but if you’re forcing setups where the markets aren’t the greatest its where you’ll pick up losses i mean look back to just last year you was passing challenges left right and centre don’t let a few weeks of ranging price effect the results bro
@rades45132 күн бұрын
Take this as constructive criticism because, obviously, you are doing well (and I would comment the same even if this trade was a winner). That said, while you are watching the position go, you are thinking about a lot of stuff, trying to stay positive but realistic. Thoughts like "If the position is open, there is still a chance" are true, but you are trying to cope. What I mean is that you would benefit and probably improve your trading by adopting a "set and forget" approach. Watch back the video and be honest with yourself-how many times were you trying to cope? There are a lot of reasons for this. One of them is that you will not be as objective while in the trade or near the entry as you were while analyzing. So, by not looking at it, you can prevent mistakes. Your SL is already your invalidation; you don't need to avoid the SL. The work is done before putting in the trade. You have to train yourself to look at what you did before setting the trade-not while in it. If you watch it, you are training yourself to focus on and remember the wrong stuff. Also, you are just stressing yourself a lot for no reason if you stare at the chart, expending a lot of energy on essentially nothing and experiencing useless pain. Think about it and keep grinding 🦾

Hi, These videos would be super boring if I just did a set and forget approach for the cameras. As you have probably seen in these videos, I do not mismanage any positions and I do think that if the trade is still valid, even if it is close to the stop loss, there is still a chance that it can win. If I did not think that it could win, I would not be in the trade in the first place. My usual trading on my personal accounts are done on the H4 timeframe and my trades run over multiple days so I do adopt the 'set and forget' approach but also do have a management plan in place.
