Trading for My First PATRICK MAHOMES ROOKIE AUTO at The National 2021 | Day 2 Vlog

Day 2 at The National was even more packed than day 1 (no surprise there!). We met some awesome dealers before the show opened, and I was able to pick up my first official Patrick Mahomes rookie autographed card in a trade, as well as a Mike Trout autograph!
I can't thank everyone enough for all the support for the channel as well as everyone who has come by to say hi. It is so great to meet so many of y'all at the show.

I collected heavily back from say 1987-1994 and recently got back into collecting due to my then 16 year olds interest. I swore I wouldn't get sucked back in but I did! I love your enthusiasm and your generosity towards other collectors. A lot of the channels get too wrapped up in how much their stuff is worth and I only make it halfway through their videos. Your 35 minute videos don't feel like that at all. Great content, great editing, great passion! Keep it up!

Hey mojo what would you suggest for a young collector to do to sort of make those relationships in the hobby? Like I havent been able to really go to any good shows, so how would you suggest making those relationships outside of the shows themselves?

Instagram is great for building relationships in the hobby! Just being active in the community helps build relationships with other collectors and when shows like this do happen you already know people at the show and can continue to build those relationships.

What these people on this video are not saying is this .... unless you get into the hobby with alot of money in the bank, you'll never have a card worth over a grand. To even own a card worth a grand you better have at least 5 times that to get started with 2 or 3 cards. You need tons of money to get the higher value cards. If you dont believe me, look up the difference between opening a flawless box of cards and a hobby box. You want the higher cards, you pay much higher price for a chance to get one because not every expensive box will get you a decent valued card. So you gotta keep spending thousands of dollars for a chance to find a great card

@@mojo_sports liking a player and him being a nice guy is great but we are only talking about making money and Trout's money making ability slides with every injury, when his card went for close to 4 mill with the added 20% hammer it was way over priced, any trout card now is a bad buy and will lose you money. His stolen bases are way down, he's lost a full season of game time in the past 3 years with injuries putting any long time MLB records out of reach, no playoff wins ever let alone rings. I would wait.
