Can someone explain how the max pain and Pcr were 2120 and .68 of LT SCRIP on 25th Jan but the closing price was 2174 . This is something I could not understand st all .Of course I did a mistake believing max pain and Pcr and shorted at ,2240 and 2160 strike prices. But how come spot price remained so high at 2174?

I want to share of my expirence on Wednesday...on Tuesday i took 18750 pe at 42 ..40 lots..in night I saw sgx little down..thought it open in red due to time decay..as market opened it was giving me 23 k profit..i thought to sell it ..but as I went to sell I got 17 k profit..than thought to buy ce and took it and sold in loss of 4k ..after some time I again took ce in huge qty..i was not stopping ..don't know why..very frustrated..upto 3.30 pm i was on screen..eye pain..and finally loss..very frustrating

people usually feel fear in taking profit, they can define their profit quickly but when it comes to defining their stop loss mind gets penetrated. We should learn to fix our emotions to fix our stop loss and ride the profits. ( STOP LOSS HIT DUKAN BAND , until and unless you are 100 % sure for your next setup ) but yes do not trade to recover loss in a trading session. Market should be treated as friend not as enemy. 🙂

I have been doing option shotring of CEs.Last 8 days ago my loss in LT was 1.9Ll when LT spot went beyond 2280 .But I was shocked after two days ,max Pax pain was showing. 2240,2200,2180,2160,2140andfinally2120.Ishorted 10 lots of various strike prices and could have recovered full loss but greed overtook me on Expiry day .I shorted 2140 5lots and also ,2160 to lose about 30 k since the price at expiry was 2174 ,pcr .68..Net profit was only 1.2L This clearly shows one cannot entirely believe MAX PAIN and Pcr as I strongly believe manipulation must have played a role not to bring down spot price below 2170
