As someone that likes numbers this was great to watch and listen, the most surprising part, I wasn't expecting to hear a Brummie accent from a US based channel :D

Been trading off the Jigsaw Dom for 7 months, the one and only thing that has truly improved my edge and tough me how markets work... P. Davis is a wizard... a real life unicorn wizard no doubt about it.

Trading order flow caught me - I believe - for its rarity in usage. Roughly what percentage of people trade order flow. Just for an idea.

There is another possibility: crossing the level, get back to level (pull back), then go on with the up direction

Can anybody recommend any good books about order flow, volume profiles, market profiles,..etc?
@lasherainey37384 жыл бұрын
What time frame of daytrading is he referring to? Scalping a couple of ticks ? Or can you use order flow if you let's say trade the 5min chart? ...not sure what type of daytrading he is talking about. Great info though 👍👌
@QuantApplicantMattKulis2 жыл бұрын
this helps identify sellers stepping up at key inflection points, ithelps identify key entry points on any time frame. Enter at a great price on a lower time frame and if its at a key inflection point showing absorbtion and rebidding/ buyers stepping up, you can use this as conviction for longer time frame moves, and begin accumulation around your core, adding position size as tape confirms your initial entry and momentume continues in your favor. I reccomend taking off position size prior to key levels, and adding to your core upon price breaking key levels of resistance with significant strength/ volume... the fear caused by shorts getting trapped is a powerful emotion

Can we use this to see if our amount of volume won't disrupt the market, and we can ensure most or all of our orders get filled?

how can i get this same order flow set up on TOS? active trader only shows bid size and ask size
@rustyshackleford96372 жыл бұрын
You can't. It doesn't have any features that really get into the order flow. You can set the active trader to show volume and the number of trades, but you can't separate them by longs and shorts. Look into ATAS. You can set up columns to show changes in the depth of market on bid/ask or both and you can set up columns that show trades executed above the ask and below the bid on the DOM. Quantower is also very good for that, and its soon to allow TDA accounts. Overcharts has columns for charts that show the pulling and stacking of orders at every price level, which is the best thing i've found yet. When you see a lot of orders being pulled down in the depth, it usually means that buyers are disappearing at those levels.

Supply & Demand is GOD.

I wouldn't really classify this as keeping it simple. I think if it covered price action based off supply and demand would keep it simple. Some parts are spoken about too fast.
