Hey Lisa, this is such a valuable video! Trading psychology in algo trading is so underrated, and how you approach it hits home. If I had a dollar for every sleepless night from dealing with drawdowns, I’d be a millionaire by now, haha! Thankfully, those days are behind me. Your channel actually inspired me to start my own, where I share my journey and take a slightly different approach. I’ve even developed my own EAs, pouring in five years of trading experience. Thanks for sharing these insights-they’re making a real difference!

Hi Lisa, good video. May you clarify if you share the robots you generate and on which frequency? you said that you don't share them on a weekly basis, do you on other frequency or any other manner? I am actually considering joining.

Lisa has a great video about psychology and algorithmic trading. Can you make videos on black box EAs and white box EAs?

Lisa, what are your thoughts on the Dark Venus EA? Can you do a video on this EA would love to see what you would recommend as best settings. Love your content and thank you for sharing your experiences with multiple expert advisors.

I'm not keen on spending my time on an obviously high risk EA.

What I do in regards to robot equity management and any future robot failures is to include some code in each robot to sum the last 30 trades. If profit is > 0 over 30 trades, then the robot will trade with normal risk% setting, otherwise trading will be with lowest possible risk 0.01 until the equity becomes positive over that amount of trades or it never does, so you've essentially protected yourself from robot failure and greatly reduced drawdowns. Unfortunately unless you have the source code for the bot, then you're out of luck. Most robots are like cars without brakes.. they wont stop when there's trouble!

Good video with good advice and a good detailed process 👍When I see the results of Valery's supposedly ultra-efficient robots, it always makes me laugh by the way: 300 to 400 days of trading with an average monthly gain < 1%.😂In comparison ETF SP 500 as a passive investment = 12 to 15% per year over the last 20 years and it is free (apart from negligible fees). I also agree that the methodology to stop a robot losing 2.5 times its max drawdown is not a good thing (subjective !). Why not adopt a momentum approach on the currently best performing robots with daily or weekly rotation of the portfolio, as Petko proposes? This is a smart way to get around the problem of determining the obsolescence of a robot 😉

Why are you so dishonest. You should be honest enough to tell your views that these robots do not last for a long before blowing accounts
@LisaForexx2 ай бұрын
High risk EAs do that. Low risk EAs do not blow up accounts.
