i think you are the only guy that spoke about the most important factor in a trading setup. The GPU vs no of pixel your monitor has. i might have seen like 30+ trading setup videos, no one talks in detail about it. As a trader its the monitors and screen space to view maximum data at good size font key to good setup and trading, but that is the least talked about factor in these kind of videos. So many people end up buying like 4- 4K monitors and realize how much of GPU they are wasting on it or see how the font size is so small and they have to run it in 2K or 1080p mode. Thanks for clearer explanation on that factor in this video

I'm trading with Tradestation. I'm not clear on how you can use two different size monitors. So for example, I want my charts to go vertical on my rotated 34" monitor and I want my Maitrix and my Trade manager to display on my laptop. I can move Firefox between the monitors with no problem but if I try to move my the Matrix over, it just stops at the edge of the screen. Thanks for the great video and great explanation.

I use a PC, a dual screen latptop (zenbook duo), a surface book, and a galaxy tab s9 ultra. I have an ultrawide monitor with a standard monitor beside it and a samsung smart monitor mounted above. I am currently looking at about 7 or 7 screens around my desk. I also have VR headset resting on top of my pc tower.

You’d only really benefit from having a crazy expensive cpu if you are running backtesting software which is very data intensive. A lot of new people think you need a super fast, expensive computer but you really don’t. Most trading software has the recommended setup you need to run it. I would recommend a solid state drive which most computers have now anyway. I have a 34” Fire Legend monitor that was less than $300. I also have a backup battery source that everything plugs into including the internet router.

Timfreames are best to enter at the best possible position. So having a lot of monitors to check 1 asset at different timeframes upto possibly the seconds timeframe is really helped with a lot of monitors. So you wont need to hop from timeframe to timeframe working in only 1 monitor. It will help you alot specially in scalping. Since hopping timeframe to timeframe will cost you the time to refresh the whole chart and wait it to load.

I just purchased a new desktop from Falcon Trading Computers, which might be a little overkill, but i doubt want to have to have to buy again for a while. It is set to run up to 6 monitors and so far I bought 2 of these 32" 4k monitors LU32J590UQNXZA. I haven't set them up yet and wondered after seeing your video if I should go with a couple 43" screens? I would appreciate your input.

Wonderful video man. But are you sure refresh rate doesn't matter? I think for day trading and quick scalping, refresh rate and response time might be very important? They need to show the candles in microseconds sometimes during times of volatality?

Well done, regarding monitor hookups, do you recommend using a splitter like a USB 3.0 to HDMI dual monitor hookup or a good desktop with a GPU and multiple outputs? USB 3 has 600mbps transfer rate which is good but that will be spit between two monitors. I just bought a brand new Lenovo laptop AMD Ryzen 7 5700 series with 8GB ram and Intergrated Radeon graphics. Still early in my trading career but I am trying to step up to make life easier because I'm going between 2 computers. I just don't know if I should drop a GPU in my desktop 7th Gen i5 with 12GB ram or go with my new laptop plus 2 monitors. Also, how many HDMI ports does your GPU have? Are all your monitors connected HDMI? Thanks!
@TraderCreatorPro
@TraderCreatorPro 2 жыл бұрын
So a splitter will just duplicate a screen so dont get a splitter. I have 3 displayport and 1 hdmi. For my older monitors i actually have dongles that change it from vga to display port. Honestly most gpus will run 2 or 3 1080p monitors as long as you have the inputs. Its the 2k and 4k monitors gpus struggle with

I have a question, which cpu processor should I get for 8 monitors running ThinkorSwim? I want to go overkill, but not too over kill where I am just wasting money. Thanks!!
@TraderCreatorPro
@TraderCreatorPro 2 жыл бұрын
IT depends on 8 monitors. Its mostly the GPU that you need to be worried about with monitors not the CPU Also Think or swim is a single thread application so look for CPU's with high single thread power for TOS. Thats my thoughts.
@manifestationmaster1111
@manifestationmaster1111 2 жыл бұрын
I am going to try to hook up 8 monitors with that graphics card via the display port to hdmi adapters and use the outputs from a motherboard that I buy. I would prefer to not use splitters. If I can only get 6, say 4 solid outputs from the gpu and two from the motherboard without splitters, then I would do that. I’m not sure the splitters would work.

Do you think the Intel Core i9-12900KS is better than the new Ryzen 7000 Series coming out in Fall? Also, what if I also need the chip for rendering songs in Fruity Loops DAW and possibly games and photoshop? Does the cores only matter if you are using programs all at the same time? I do not think I would be trading and rendering a song, but now that I think about it, I might.

So what is the sweet spot for trading. What’s the best pixel to choose if one wants 24 inch moniters shall one go for full hd what’s the good spot if one wants 27 inch . Means basically if the resolution is fhd then 24 inch is ok and if it’s qhd i think the moniters should be 27inch and above am i correct

I'm. Sorry but I disagree completely with your ram necessities I don't use think or swim I use mt5 because I trade global macro fx so my trading pc was as follows Intel 12600k 32 gb ram using on board gfx now when I would fire up my mt5 with browsers that I needed for my news terminal it would eat my. Ram immediately I really couldn't run 5 browser instance with mt5 so I bought a 3050 just to relieve a bit of ram and stress worked decent for a while but as I add to my desktop I once again am maxxed out on ram so I'm now. Upgrading to 48 gb of ram and maybe. 64 in the. Future I'm not too sure why my ram keeps running out but 🤷 now I am running a bot on every Chart open on my. Mt5 that. Takes over my. Trade management for after I place my trade which also uses lots of ram
@TraderCreatorPro
@TraderCreatorPro 2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you especially if you are running bots. For the typical side hustle trader though they are not running there own bots. Running bots on seperate charts is going to use up a lot of ram especially if you are doing it in a web browser. Web browsers eat up ram fast
