I decided to dip my toe into trading last month. Started out buying options on GameStop. Quickly lost $5,500. I’m out! I don’t have the personality for that. I far prefer to buy and hold ETF’s and Mutual Funds for long term and regularly invest in them each month. Trading was interesting, definitely gets an adrenaline rush going. But it’s not for me.

i wish i never knew about trading, i am addicted to the rush, and i have made a net loss of 3k so far, yet my brain keeps going ooh if you put in more money youll remake that 3k, and to think this mindset started when i was at a loss of $100, within a month im down 3k, and still im waiting till pay day so i can put more quity in on the of chance i make back all my losses, even though the outcome is probably more loss, this is worse than gambling

Not too late! you would have to open it with a brokerage. I would recommend Fidelity, Vanguard, Schwab, or other trusted brokerages.

@@spieldose depending on how much you're aiming to reach with your account by retirement. You may want to invest in something with more or less risk. Less risk meaning lower reward like bonds, more risk with higher rewards like stocks and ETFs.
