Comparing USA to India - you cannot just use money as the main factor ; there are so many variables as to why one may choose to come and stay here vs stay in India . I have lived in USA for 51 Years. Got two degrees , became USA citizen and retired after working for 40+ years . Raised two kids also . Comparing USA to India is like comparing Apples to Oranges. Lot depends on your priorities in life - what do you value most in life. Money is one aspect we all value . But there are many more important factors to consider - like lifestyle, safety, fair treatment , school and college admissions for your kids , cleanliness and good living conditions etc etc . We are very glad to have come and studied and settled down here and raised our kids here ( all kids settled in their own careers ). But it may not be a valid conclusion for others . So - there is NO CORRECT ANSWER to the above puzzle . There are pros and cons and one has to weigh the pros against the cons and decide what is RIGHT FOR THEM .

Gold and copper remains the best investment to venture in, especially as a beginner, it’s not always affected by the downturn of the market
@FrankBrook-js9yh7 ай бұрын
The discussions and proposals surrounding BRICS nations' potential use of gold are intriguing. People choose to buy gold for various reasons, such as its historical role as a store of value and medium of exchange, its potential as a hedge against inflation or currency devaluation, and its relative scarcity compared to other commodities. Gold also offers diversification benefits to investment portfolios due to its low correlation with stocks and bonds.

Left India for Australia in 2017. Became Australian Citizen in 2021. Bought my first house in 2021. Bought 2 more investment properties (rental houses) in 2022. Planning to buy 2 more in a year. In 11 years of working in India in Bangalore as a software engineer, I was able to buy a plot for about 30 Lakhs and was able to pay off with my withdrawn PF when I left India. In 7 years in Australia, my net equity position is more than $1M AUD. I agree with what he says, it has become pretty hard to get Australian PR now, especially since 2018.. The jobs are not great if you are in IT or software, as not much innovation happens here. But, but, if you have got the hunger and desire to succeed, you can because people are drugged by the comfort and abundance. They don’t feel the need to work hard to succeed when they can get by comfortably with minimum effort… whereas in India you need to work hard just to survive and have basic comforts.

If both spouses are working, there's no comparison between life in the US and life in India in terms of various aspects such as travel, children's education, luxurious homes, and a peaceful lifestyle. However, India still faces challenges such as chaos, electricity outages, lack of traffic governance, with vehicles driving in every direction, and inadequate public toilet facilities. It's really bad down here in US. The economy is doing poorly. For the first time I saw an Indian girl working in gas station. Indian college kids have no jobs and they are working in McDonalds to get by. Even doing yard jobs. It's gotten really really bad. Find something in India and stay there. You will be happy will less money and be able to see family and friends.

Salary of school teachers in the US is meager. Teachers struggle to pay rent and buy groceries. The better option would be to do PhD and become a research associate. Also, most graduate program don’t cost 1cr. One can easily study in a really good universities in under 40 lacs. Also, healthcare is the worst in the US. Getting a doctor’s appointment is months long process. Insurance, if not paid (mostly) by university or employer will be atleast 500$- 700$/month.

it really depends on the school you work at. There are certain public schools that pay over $120k a year and a lot of private schools do too. Teachers also get welfare benefits. It's not a high paying job, but if you're a high school teacher you make enough to live comfortably within means.

(THIS IS PURELY FROM A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE) I am born and brought up in the UAE & I recently moved to USA for education and 3 months ago ,my mom also got an opportunity from her company to move to USA with an H1 visa. And after living here for 2 years and my mom here for 3 months, we are already planning to go back to UAE as soon as our job is done in USA (due to reasons like high prices for everything, superiority complex within the citizens here, not business friendly, almost every food is possessed and not fresh, how far and expensive is it to go back home in case of an emergency and the list goes on and on). So if you are planning to relocate, UAE is the best option. It’s literally a smaller india, fresh food, insanely business friendly, it’s a win after win and cards are stacked for you and not against you.

One more thing about OPT - Only those companies will hire on OPT who plan on sponsoring H1B, because why would you hire someone for just one year. On average only 10% of companies on campus sponsor H1B. International students don't even get considered for 90% of internships and full-time jobs. So, 50% of total class which is international students are fighting for 10% of jobs on campus. It is also heavily dependent on the industry. For ex: Almost no real estate, pharma or FMCG companies sponsor H1B. Secondly, investment banking and consulting firms like PwC will sponsor candidates from top 5 to 10 schools (ivy leagues etc.), but won't sponsor students from average schools. Students learn these harsh truths only after they land in US and start talking to seniors.

EU countries may be better option. Pay may be less with high cost of living, but high quality of living and very peaceful. Medical and kids education are government subsidized. Job security is better and lay-off are not as common as in US. Many local companies workplace language is also English (As they have talent shortage and want international workforce). I am just stating a few facts as per my knowledge. 1)USCIS uses random selection when company H-1B registrations exceed the annual limit of 85,000. That includes the 65,000 annual limit and a 20,000 exemption for advanced degree holders from U.S. universities. 2)You always don't need to go back to India after 3 or 6 years of extensions or project is over. If your existing or a new employer is ready to apply for your GC and you get your PERM done before reaching 3 or 6 yrs limit than you can stay back. The problem is how will you maintain your legal status for the next 20 to 25 years? In this 25 years wait time you will change or lose your job for sure. Then you need to find a new employer in two months time who is willing to file your PERM again and the new job profile has to be similar to retain your PD. If you take a promotion and your GC date is current you won't be able to file your papers. Another hurdle is visa stamping and the restrictions that come along with it. If your parents are young go ahead if they are not India is also fine. 3) You can surely have kids on Work visas/Student visas. It's wrong if done on the visitor's visa status. 4) You will have to pay taxes on all income/investments that you have in the US/UK/India or anywhere in the world. That's why Rich people give away their citizenship. Boris Johnson surrendered his US citizenship and many others. While on a work visa you will also contribute to your SS benefits which you may or may not use. 5) Many Indians who have UK/Australian citizenship can come on E3/E2 visa but it won't get converted into the citizenship. You can have your business (E3-UK citizen) or can work (E2-australian citizen). One can have kids on these visas. Your kids can sponsor you when they are settled in their lives. That route also takes 25 yrs. 6) You can come on a TN visa through less popular neighboring countries like Canada (Cold is an unbearable - job market is bad) and Mexico (very unsafe). You have to take their citizenship route. 7) Get your hair, dental, vision, routine check up done in India before coming here. You can buy groupon for such needs. There is always groupon for dental/visión needs. Lastly, EB-2 category green card applicants are suffering because of our own impatient brothers and sisters who are misusing the loopholes of the US immigration system. This sir has mentioned a few things but not all facts are mentioned as he has lived in the US only for 7 years. You need to ask those who have spent 22 years in getting the green card. In the last few years thefts and other crimes have increased. So come with an open mind if you or your parents have some extra cash. Good luck. I admire the infrastructure of the USA and how people have to obey everything especially immigrants. Student visa is a non immigrant visa and Work visa has a dual intent. You can't file your PR on your own like some countries allow (Europe/Australia/Canada etc...).
