Just back tested this from April 2023-now and Win rate is 41.8% 23wins out of 55 trades, very easy strategy and only need to check once a day for like a couple hours if that. Actually thinking of adding this to what I already do instead of day trading which has more stress and more time on the charts. Your videos are good, very easy to understand and spoken well

I agree with that. But when you use the lower timeframe: for example the 1 minute it doesn't take much time to find or spot a setup. And personaly I like to spend some times behind the charts, just because it is fun.

Glance at the charts after work and with first coffee. If my setups there I preset it and check 12 hrs later basically. Gettin 2-4 trades a week . Going quite well ! You've come to the right place. My strategy works for day trading as well but swing trading is where it's at 🙌🏼 total time freedom.

Been trading for 2 years now and find myself simplifying things more and more. Used to trade the 1hr and 15min, sometimes finding myself stressing and staring at the 5min. Now I’m looking at the 4hr and feeling some fresh air again. You are super correct in saying full time trading isnt a thing and you need to supplement with a job. I still work a 8-4:30 job, wife, kids, house, etc etc and needed this video to solidify that what I’m actually doing currently, in my trading, is something that can carry weight and work for me. I’m not just dreaming something up and forcing something to work. I look at the daily TF but never execute off of it. I will give it a shot and see how it goes. A 1:3 ratio win on the daily is much more profitable than a 1:3 ratio win on smaller time frames.
@tantoui_8 ай бұрын
Please can you enlighten me on how a 1:3 on the daily tf is more profitable than a 1:3 on a smaller tf ? If your risk is the same the profits should be the same ?
@michal.szyszka5 ай бұрын
20:00 - exactly. BE is only management that can be done that is not ruining our PnL. Partials are giving us mental comfort of win but like you said, they are ruining PnL. Closing while in drawdown but not at full SL same. BE is 0, so when it is hit it is like you wouldn’t take trade at all.

This is very appealing. I'm going to do some backtesting on the 4H and see what I can come up with. I've always only wanted to make 5% a month, and so far over two years I haven't been able to do that. Maybe I need to try this method and slow down.

I literally used the break even adjustment on my trade today. My trade shot towards my TP only to miss it by a pip. i adjusted my SL to break even, and the market eventually turned and shot through my break even SL and through my origional SL. Im a bit disapointed but the way i see it, my trade was decent and it only narroolwy missed my TP and ive come away from the whole thing without a loss.
@davidr.8112Ай бұрын
A great trader once told me "don't be a dick for a tick" meaning that if price is close to your target, close the trade because if you don't, you risk 2,8R (on PnL) to win 0,2R and it's not a good risk management. If you didn't see when price reversed, it's ok, but think about it.
@breakaway21818 ай бұрын
Pretty much my swing model. I use the Fib retracement level of 0.705% as my OTE. I have noticed in back testing and at the hard right edge that the 0.62% retracement level almost guarantees your entry as long as the imbalance isn't a break away gap. I have also used the fib gradients to great effect for take profit. I always take partials but thats just my model. This is a sound tutorial for any swing trader and will work. I can testify to this after many years in the Fibre market. Thanks Ara x

It’s a great video idea however that range on the daily is suspect to me rather I see it was actually the weekly range holding up mitigating the ob, it would then have garnered you a trade from the 4H still being htf edge , with an ability to go Be much more efficiently, a daily entry does make sense at times but in accordance to the monthly imo(:
@AraKerbabian8 ай бұрын
Where does it end then, are you going to look at yearly charts too? What about 2 year charts? Might as well start looking at decade charts too. At some point you need to actually trade and make money rather than trying to be an analyst.. Also there were 3 different sets of examples in this video so what are you even referring to? I dont know what the point of this comment was.

I'm not where I wanna be yet but this swing trading strategy using the 4H timeframe is changing the game for me. I have a decent win rate at this point so I'm gonna up my risk and go from 0.5% risk per trade to 1% risk per trade on my challenges. Thank you Ara, you legend.
@FuturesBrizio8 ай бұрын
Totally agree with this especially for myself as I have gotten away from forex and now 90% futures trader. I think day trading forex is a fools errand over long run and longer term trading like this is better. I do day trade futures and enjoy that. I think this method on high time frames would be tougher on futures because of the contract time limits.
