Thank you David! I just started Monday with stocks, never been a fan of math or numbers unless money hahah But I have had good rewards in a couple days with not so much money invested and so I kept seeing people talking about resistance, support and break and thought I needed to know more. I've been having fun doing stocks and learned a ton in 4 days. But I am a hands on learner so..I know that if I would've read books before trying on my own I would not have understood. My way to train is not the usual, a lot of people are great taking notes, I retain more when doing it myself so thank you for your great videos. To all new beginners please learn, take some advice and don't be greedy nor impatient, the market is always open M-F with extended hrs. Good luck!

Hi, I think as I went through in the video, there is no right or wrong way to trade them. Personally, I wait for the price to pullback and see what happens next, rather than chasing the break.

i find your videos super interesting and easy to digest... im just a beginner in the trading world but i know that you should sell at the highest price and buy at the lowest.... but it seems in your videos you mention otherwise, buy at the peaks and sell at the lows... could you explain to my the reason of this, please. thank you for all your videos.
@davidjones24527 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the comment. The buying high is specific to the subject of this video - trading breakouts. SO, we are looking to buy into confirmed strength, for example, assuming the market is going to start a move even higher.
@5roundmedia9557 жыл бұрын
Obviously you dont buy at the peak and sell at the lows thats just throwing money away. When he explains trading in a downtrend he means shorting. Which basically means you “sell” high the “buy” again at the dip.

How many support/resistance lines should you draw on your charts and should you do different ones on different time frames?
@davidjones24526 жыл бұрын
Good question. I think you can end up with too many lines. So I just look at major highs and lows on the daily and hourly charts. Take a look at for example our weekly euro videos for the sort of approach I take.

do you think its a good idea to set a stop-buy order just above a resistance line, and once the order buys set a stop-loss just below the line?
@davidjones24527 жыл бұрын
You could do - but as I mention above you just need to be aware of a choppy market after the break. It could take your stop loss out before going in the direction you think, so I would not go too tight on the stop.

Trading breakout on any time frame is a low probability trade, they only work 30% of the time at best and getting faked out happens more than you want. This sound good but when you look at the math it is a poor strategy.
