I was born in 1938 and my teenage years were spent in the 1950's. My home country is in this film - the Cotswold hills. I am so sad that we have lost England. The politicians have ruined it all. I look back with so much sadness. We are now second class citizens in our own country and have lost our identity.

I think you are wearing those glasses. It wasn’t that good, there was a lot of sadness and sorrow among the war widows and orphans. There were thousands of destroyed buildings, there was food rationing early in the decade etc. There were also good times, such a feeling of freedom and a feeling that Britain had played vital part in the winning the war.

At 3:02, the 'pre-Wuorboys' road signs are great. They were replaced in the 1960s, and the design is so timeless they are still used to day. Sadly, Stratford is a tourist hell-hole these days, and has been for decades. A lot of the 'history' was created in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
