It’s customary to bow to people regardless out of respect for station/status. Being, Fijian- myself. I was taught by my Grandmother, Mother and Aunts that it was the correct protocol when addressing my elders/members of family or certain members in society🤷🏽♀️ When I visit family members in Fiji or anywhere else they may be in the world m. I conform to the traditions expected of me that show I have “manners” lol Their words not mine. I’m fine with it. I suppose cause I was taught the “old way” it’s just second nature to me now. That said, it’s not a “subservient” thing. It’s just a tradition that people raised to the “old ways” would generally apply to situations like this. It’s been done even before the British came along. As you can see, haha. Some people do it, some don’t 🤷🏽♀️

@Diane Allen West Oh 😊 I know that. I wasn’t at all offended. I apologise if I came off as rude 😅 I just thought I’d explain in case others assumed some (white washed) people did it out of some misplaced loyalty to our Colonizers. I admit, I myself am not at all a Monarchist. In fact, I kind of wish it was just Countries of the Commonwealth coming together or members outside of it forming new alliances to get away from...remanants of the past. Just thought I’d watch this out of respect to the beautiful Duchess 😁 I agree with you on that last point. That was beautifully said.

@@georgetuisawau4781 Only the dark rulers of this world knows it's secret mate.
@simionenauluvula79816 жыл бұрын
George Tuisawau ...if so, then what's the need to form the special forces of Britain in the 1st place..it's not necessarily about the black mission or what, it's about life given up for the coarse...the only thing Britain should do is to analyse again the meaning of elite and in any situation given..just like any law of a clear miltary obligation, 'leadership' uphed the life of those in mission'..wether a clear task or a black task..cos the life is what that importantly deals with here first, then the task of operations is second. That's why the VC medal is worth for the Human life and not the task handed..the human makes the task completed..so that's the point of a strong recommendation of a VC reward in the highest valuable manner just like the value of the highest special forces role.
@georgetuisawau47816 жыл бұрын
Simi you didnt understand the gist of my reply. Operation Jaguar was a classified mission ( top secret) and is yet to be declassified. That's why Laba was awarded a Mentioned in Despatches ( MID) medal posthumously. We all know that he should be awarded a VC. Since the powers that be hasn't done anything to declassify operation jaguar it's still a black operation and in lay mans term it never happened.
@simionenauluvula79816 жыл бұрын
George Tuisawau yeah...I got your point now bro, but still it's a two ways thing. We all know that the elites or special unit is secret. As it always be, there 4, the Highest authority should redefined the mandate of secret mission. Once they established the real role it was meant 4, then life should be highly valued given the highest secret obligation. I think it's about reviewing the laws! Well, to be declassified.. it will come down to value that matters.. because we are living in the 21st centuries, many military acts around the world has acclimatised itself to the value of purpose. That's all. It will take the whole package to redifined a situation, but life should always be supreme valued in any situation of reality
