Pinoys in Dresden, Germany presents Autumn Family Fun 2022 @the Großer Garten! Join us as we feast our sumptuous Filipino and German Food. Have fun watching some ice breaker and Traditional Filipino Games that you will surely enjoy! Feel free to experience Filipino culture by playing too! Below are the mechanics for each game! ;)
Human Bingo
The objective of this game is for people to wander around the room and to obtain the signatures of people who have the facts listed on the bingo sheet. Once a person successfully obtains a full row (5 in a row), whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, he or she shouts “BINGO!” and wins.
Group yourselves into (The Boat is Sinking)
The leader cries, “The boat is sinking! The boat is sinking! Group yourselves into three!” The Scouts then scamper and assemble themselves accordingly. Scouts who fail to find a huddle with the appropriate number of members are then sent packing. This is repeated until the two last remaining souls on-board are declared winners.
Pahabaan (Longest Lind)
You find out who the future strategists are with this fun group game that uses a lot of creativity. Kids and parents are formed into groups and tasked to make the longest line possible using everything at their disposal. This includes themselves, clothes, accessories, and more. Some popular items: dad's sinturon and kuya'sshoelaces.
Balloon Game (Adult Ice Breaker Game)
the ultimate goal is not to drop the balloon from transferring from back of the partner to another body without using their hands and feet. From back to chest, to knee, to back, to chin, to elbow, to hips, to butt etc
Pabitin
This game involves a wooden lattice tied with various goodie bags suspended in midair and lowered up and down to a waiting crowd. The kids jump as high as they can to grab the goodies. No other game earns more frustration than the pabitin-or at least, that's the case for kids lacking in the height department.
Chinese Garter
During the game, two members of the “it” team shall serve as “game posts” as they stand opposite each other and hold each end of the garter. The objective of the game then is to be able to successfully jump over the garter as it is gradually held higher by the game posts.
Limbo Rock
It is the ultimate test of flexibility. Kids must pass under the limbo stick without touching it or touching the ground. It's an easy feat in the first round, but casualties usually pile up with each round as the stick goes lower.

To play this game, two players must face each other from a distance with the garter stretched around then so that they could create parallel lengths of garter between each other. One player will do the jumping routine over the garter while reciting Ten, Twenty, Thirty, Forty, Fifty, Sixty, Seventy, Eighty, Ninety…One Hundred. The player who can manage to do the jumping routines despite of the progress in level will be considered a winner.
Bato bato Pick
Bato Bato Pick, known as Rock Paper Scissors, is a game where two players simultaneously make a gesture representing one of the following: a rock, paper, or scissors. The rules are as follows: paper beats rock, rock beats scissors and scissors beats paper.
Tumbang Preso
("knock down the prisoner"), also known as tumba lata ("knock down the can") or bato lata ("hit the can [with a stone]"), is a traditional Filipino children's game. It involves throwing a slipper at a can or bottle, which one player - the tayà - attempts to guard. The game is usually played in backyards, parks, or in streets when there is little traffic in an area.
Luksong Tinik/ Baka
The objective of the game is for all players in a team to jump over the height of the piled hands of the opposing team or a person (Baka /cow). A player must avoid hitting the piled hands with any part of his body or clothing. The two mothers are expected to be high jumpers.
Touch Ball
It is carried and passed, by hand, between players in an effort to score a touchdown whilst avoiding being touched. The defending team, in an effort to stop the attacking team from scoring a touchdown, initiates a touch, with minimal contact, on the player with the ball. declared the winner
