I have now watched several of your videos where you stay at a ryokan, and I think they are really great ! Thank you very much for the amazing work you do ! There is so much love for details, and you show us everything of the ryokan. For me, what I always like best, are the onsen and the food. But of course, being in a place full of tradition and history, or with art, or being different, in a beautiful setting, having a monorail or something else special etc. etc. is also fantastic.

So far, I have been to several onsen ryokan, and my favorite ones are in Kurakowa Onsen on Kyushu and a lovely ryokan on Yakushima island. Next year, we look forward to stay in one in Matsushima Bay and in another one in Ginzan Onsen.

That is not a monorail it's a funicular. A monorail is completely different form of transport, think Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line.

Very Japanese. The artistic blend of old-style wooden furnishings and high-tech like self-driving cars and monorails, combining the old with the new, is something Japan does in masterclass. Given their history, that should not be surprising...and yet it keeps on surprising me. Great video!

Traditional Japanese architecture is a thing of absolute beauty. We have quite a few Japanese temples which are built using that architecture. I can't stress how beautiful it is to me. I would love to visit this ryokan when I take a trip to Japan!

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to you: I recently came back from 15 incredible days in Japan during which I went to places like Ogijima Island and stayed at places like Kakurinbo Temple Lodgings in Minobusan, both which I discovered from the videos on your KZbin Channel. I had 2 managing days thanks to you! Should I be able to return to Japan, which I very much want to do, then maybe I will find more ideas of where to go and stay from here. I love your channel and would recommend it to others. Arigatō gozaimasu, Kieron

That was quite an experience. I felt like I was in a collector's house. it had a very dream like feel to it, with so many exhibits, and the eclectic and attractive interior design. The long halls made it feel exactly like a mysterious, subconscious kind of dream sequence.

It’s a quaint ryokan with a charming mountain view of the rice paddies below in the valley. Rustic architecture, relaxing onsen, exquisite cuisine. The sounds of chirping birds and frogs were quite noisy and stimulating!

i said, "wow!" aloud at the view outside from your room right at the same time you said, "wow," on screen with the subtitles. 😂 view really is worth the odyssey it took to get to your room! 😅 im glad you said, "where is our room?" on screen, 'cause i was wondering the same thing! glad staff were there to walk you to it. I'd definitely get lost on the way. 😭 the whole inn was wonderful! love the wood style of the room plus of course the beams and thatched roofs. and the hot springs were lovely! beautiful place to stay!! thank you as always for sharing!!

Absolutely amazing! Not sure if I liked this or the Buddhist temple stays best. 🤔 I was laughing at the adventure to the room, that adds to the experience. Such happy employees too. The views were amazing, I would love to move to Japan and work in those Rice fields. The night sky looked like a painting. All the food looked amazing. The only thing I found odd was a subtle chocolate cake for dessert. May need a pastry chef like myself to move there and work there! No need to pay me, I'll just live there. Haha. I love how you both create these experiences. Thank you. The artifacts were beautiful along with the architecture. Every moment was an experience to remember. Well worth the price! I'll take that over Disneyland any day!

As always, it's a wonderful hot spring inn. This is probably my most favorite so far. Thanks. This area is the closest to Tokyo to heavy snowfall and has many wonderful ski resorts. It seems to be just before Kawaba Ski Resort and Hotaka Ski Resort, which I often go to in winter. There are a lot of wild monkeys in this area, and there have been many bear sightings since this spring.
By the time you got to your room, it would have been time to check out. Place is lovely though, and manages to add the modern in so that it doesn't look out of place in a traditional environment.

What an interesting hotel! I like the vast scenery of the farmland and the interiors. However, the front has too much design and the journey to the room looks like a hassle. I will probably only go if there are children as they would be find these to be interesting. I wonder with the menu is the same year round. Would like to know if the firefly is available in other seasons. Does the manju have bamboo? Both the pork and beef looks amazing. P.S. Kyan is quite a unique name.
