I don't like American brocolli in Chinese dishes - ugh! - but i like it steamed on its own all by itself. It has a lot of vitamins. They say it is especially healthy raw. But mixed in with Chinese or other Asian dishes, no, i agree with you!

Mongolian food are simple but very tasty. My most favourite Mongolian food starting with Buuz (steam dumpling), Guriltai Shuul (noodle soup), Khuusuur (fried dumpling), Tsuivan (fried noodle) and drinks Tsutee Tsai (Traditional Mongolian milk tea) and Tsagaan Idee (prepared traditionaly yogurt).

I'm Hazara, an ethnic group of Afghanistan. We have decedents from Mongolia. Seeing this made me realise all the similarities in our dishes we have and I even recognise some of the dishes here that we still eat, when I've never been to Mongolia or any Mongolian restaurants.

My mouth drools each and every time I watch this video. Mongolia's food looks absolutely delicious. And it needs to be this way, if its people are to survive in the country's harsh continental climate. Mongolia's culture is absolutely beautiful, and it's people are so amazing and hospitable. As a culture enthusiast, especially for East Asian cultures, I would love to visit Mongolia one day, and meet its people. Cheers from the United States! 🇲🇳🇺🇸

One Mongolian right here!!Here's a little lifehack. so u make tsuivan is a dinner the night before and in the next day u just add that mongolian milk tea to it and u eat it as a noodle soup. One time a Japanese man visited Mongolia and had a meal at a mongolian household. The food they give him was tsuivan with milk tea. next day the Japanese man asked to have the meal he had the day before (tsuivan+milk tea) and no one knew what that was (bc it's not an actual meal) so the way he described was "noodle in white soup". And from that on Mongolians started to use "noodle in white soup" as a name for tsuivan+milk tea 😂😂😂

Fun Fact: the gravy you use to dip the lamp meat fro the khorkhog is actually not a dipping sauce at all hahah, people typically drink it as a broth or soup to accompany the meat. Also, the rocks used to cook the meat are traditionally used as little heat stones so you would usually pick one up and warm your hands with it (it's very oily and requires a lot of juggling initially since it's so hot lol) Source- I'm a Mongolian who grew up having a looottt of khorkhog during big gatherings and events.

Food, as is culture, is often defined by the weather. I was in Changchun for 3 years, and had lamb soup for dinner in order to counter the cold Changchun nights. I once drover to "inner" Mongolia, and had lamb again, but would not drink, because I went as a driver. The school we visited had a stove in the center that ran on coal. I have never been so cold!

I've brought a bag of potato chips with me on international flights plenty of times as a snack. I've never had them freak out over processed, bagged, cooked chips. Now bringing raw vegetables or other stuff like that... yea, they don't like that.

it looked superb mike. i can imagine mongolians need to pack on the calories to stay warm and hydrated in their particular environs. i'm glad you're having a ball! you've shown us a modern view of mongolia, a place we associated with genghis khan, desolation, and cold! bon apetit!

I live in Mongolia and heres some few facts. Put Tsuivan in the milk tea. It perfect. We basically use any meat to put in the dumplings or anything We also have Tsagaan edee which I don't know what it means in English. Tsagaan edee is basically milk hardened. We have aaruul, tarag(yogurt), eezgii, hailmag, unum, etc. We also have a traditinial language called. Mongol bichig(Mongolian writing) It a language where there are many different ways to make a letter. You write it from up to down not just the normal way. Also saying and writing for the traditional Mongolian language is a bit different from the normal Mongolian language. Like Миний(Mine) is Мину. Etc. There are in total 11 different things to make a letter. 1. Titem(Crown) 2. Nuruu(The Human Back) 3. Shud(Tooth) 4. Gedes(Belly) 5. Shilbe 6. Suul(Tail) 7. Num(bow) 8. Tsatslag(Also a Mongolian object I don't know it in English) 9. Gezeg(THE tail) 10. Ewer(Horns) 11. Dusal(Droplet or Dot)

Mongolia is one of the countries I'd really love to visit that seems like it has food that I could easily eat because it doesn't seem to have a lot of hot peppers in it and while I'd love to be able to eat spicy foods my ulcer doesn't allow it.
